This 4-bedroom home, with a view of Quonochontaug Salt Pond, is in the quiet, private community of Shady Harbor. Enjoy the pristine private ocean beach, use of dock areas, and water activities, including shell fishing, clamming, bird watching, boating and fishing. The pond is also ideal for all boating activities. The rustic interior is comfortably furnished, with new kitchen appliances and newly installed flooring throughout the house. The lower level was recently renovated with a wet bar including sink, microwave, and refrigerator. It is an ideal arrangement for 2 small families to share on vacation. The design of the house gives adults and children enough space to feel relaxed.

The area is recognized nationally as a great getaway destination. There is something for everyone within a short distance. On those days when you choose to leave the sun, beach and surf, you will find many enjoyable activities. These include great golf, movie theaters, nature preserves, parks, mansions of Newport, the carousel at Watch Hill, Old Mystic, and the Mystic Aquarium. In the nearby town of Westerly, you will find a vibrant arts community, shopping, and great restaurants. If you enjoy nightlife and gambling, Foxwoods Resort and Casino is only fifteen minutes away. The cottage is an easy two hour drive from Boston or New York, and a 45 minute drive from Providence. We're sure that, once you visit, you'll be looking forward to returning to Shady Harbor for years to come.

August 08 - Stayed for a week. House looks cute and comfortable from the outside, surprisingly big and comfy inside! The beach was beautiful, the kids had a great time playing in the waves. Some friends visited for a few days and stayed downstairs - perfect! Another surprise, the childrens beach on the pond around the corner. The kids loved it and went back over and over. And the cocktails and snacks on the top deck in the evening, AWESOME. We'll definitely go back!
