Wellfleet is one of the most sought after places on the Cape for vacationing because of its many beautiful ocean and bay beaches and fresh water ponds, and fishing/boating harbor all within minutes away. It is one of the few towns on the Cape having a quaint little town and harbor with pier where you can stroll along and watch the fishing boats come in & out while enjoying an ice cream from a vendor on the pier. Also, at the pier you can enjoy tasty fried clams then hop on a fishing boat for a day excursion catching stripped bass or blue fish or just bring home some fresh seafood from the pier which has just arrived! Evening on the town is quite wonderful too with all the art galleries and shops to wonder through, some of them offer free wine tasting on weekends. Be sure to stop at the Book Store Restaurant for the best seafood in Wellfleet.
