Enjoy swimming, sunning, surfing, sailing, boating, boogie boarding, skim boarding, surf fishing, charter boat fishing, sail boarding, kayaking, canoeing, tennis, rollerblading, harbor tours, sightseeing cruises, sunset cruises, golfing, hiking, biking, antique hunting, or bird watching. Attractions & Ideas:
Chamber of Commerce Visitor's Center 36 Ocean Rd., 401-783-7121. Windsurfers and sailboarders love the Point Judith Lighthouse (5 min. drive) where the conditions are perfect. Surfers flock to Narr. Pier Beach. For a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean try 'the deck' at The Coastguard House Restaurant (they also have a great Sunday Brunch). Miniature golf, go-carts, batting cages, great restaurants, and shopping are all nearby. Bike or roller blade the scenic Bike Path from Old Wakefield to Kingston Train Station.Try 18 holes of one of the nicest public golf courses in R.I., Exeter Country Club. Visit historic and scenic Jamestown and Newport(cobblestone street shopping, mansion tours, The Cliffwalk, Fort Adams, and the Inn at Castle Hill are 'must see'). Two casinos, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, are less than an hour drive for gambling and entertainment. Go to Downtown Providence(45min.) for restaurants, theatre, and Saturday night 'Waterfire'.
What's Nearby:
Just a short walk to Scarboro State Beach. Short 5 min. drive to Sand Hill Cove Beach, Narragansett Pier Beach and Casino Towers, and the quaint fishing Village of Gallilee. Take a ferry over to beautiful Block Island from Gallilee. Historic and scenic Jamestown and Newport are a short ride and a can't miss. Two casinos, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, are about a 45 minute to an hour drive for gambling and entertainment. Visit downtown Providence (45 min.) for Saturday night 'Water Fire'.

There are more than a dozen public golf courses within a 30 minute drive from the house. My personal favorites are Exeter C.C. (401-295-8212), North Kingstown G.C. (401-294-0684), Laurel Lane C.C. (401-783-3844), Richmond C.C. (401-364-9200), Beaver River G.C. (401-539-2100), and Winnapaug G.C. (401-596-1237).
