Located in the Wianno section of Osterville, this quaint, three bedroom, Nantucket-style cottage is a gem! With a private lawn on a quiet street, it is just a short walk to Osterville village and Dowses beach. Renters can use the resident beach parking sticker which allows free parking for all beaches in Barnstable. The property includes a deck/porch, outdoor furniture, BBQ-grill, outdoor shower, washer/dryer, microwave, coffeemaker, linens, TV, VCR and other amenities. Wireless and non-wireless Internet access are also available.

We had a good week on Sylvan Lane. Osterville is a lovely place to visit and Dowse's Beach is a real favourite. The Cottage was good, although smaller than we expected. We would say that it is ideal for families of 4 or less as there is 4 of everything - dining chairs, etc. The steep stairs would make it awkward for elderly visitors and very young children. Only 1 full bathroom and toilet may also be a problem for some visitors.

The kitchen is good and the living room very comfortable. Outside, the porch is great and the garden spacious and not overlooked.

The centre of Osterville is an easy walk and the beaches are also walking distance, so the location is great.
