This new four bedroom colonial sits at the edge of a beautiful, wild flower filled meadow. It is at the mouth of Perkins Cove and a stones throw from the trolley stop that takes you to the downtown area, the main beach and nearby York. Walk down the private country road, which leads you to the nearby Marginal Way. Follow the path that runs more than a mile along our rocky coastline with Perkins Cove on one end, the baby beach in the middle and Ogunquit Village on the other. All of the shops, fine restaurants, fishing boats and entertainment are within walking distance. This is a great property for family reunions in a private community just off the beaten path of the heartbeat of Ogunquit. Parking for four cars maximum. If more needed ask.Cafe Amore is now next door at Thompson Green, walk to the best breakfast in town.

The Perfect Maine Vacation

This house was perfect for our needs. It was walking distance to Perkins Cove and the Marginal Way. We were also able to allow our children to ride bikes on the private road adjacent to the house. The house itself is very clean and un-cluttered and the kitchen is open. This was important to us as we have 5 children between our two families with ages from 8 to 18 months. The house is very child friendly. The beach at Ogunquit is a short drive and parking is available for about $20/day (worth it). Additionally, the house is only 7 miles from Mt. Agamenticus. Two of us took mountain bikes to the trails for 3 solid days of fun before the beach day got started.

Our family spends four weeks of every summer at the Galway. We have used the house since it first opened. George and LewAnn are gracious hosts and very accomodating. I almost hate to write such a positive review because I never want to lose our space. From relaxing in the adirondack chairs on the front porch, to enjoying the huge and well appointed kitchen, to sleeping in very comfortable beds, to the easy walk to Perkins Cove, Ogunquit and the best beach in Maine...nothing is missing.

We enjoy the golf experience in Maine...very friendly, good courses. Even had a hole in one last year. We also go to the Ogunquit PlayHouse for theatre, to the Portland SeaDogs for minor league, RedSox baseball, to Portland, Kennebunkport, York...but most of all Ogunquit is just perfect. Great restaurants, friendly people, beautiful surroundings and an amazing beach. George and his family are longtime Ogunquit residents and have wonderful stories to tell. You will not regret staying in one of the at "The Field".

location, location, location!!!!!

A beautiful property to rent for a large gathering of people. We invited friends and relatives over a two week stay and it was perfect. With the four bedrooms and three baths, it was convenient for all. And the location is ideal. You can walk to Perkins Cove or downtown Ogunquit or catch the local trolley with ease. the BEAUTIFUL MARGINAL WAY is only a block away. I would highly recommend this property. We will be renting it again as we go to Maine everyother summer. ( A long drive from Minnesota but well worth it!!!)
