Spectacular 2 bedroom, 2 bath beach house only steps to the bay. This home has been totally renovated with a large MBR with a queen bed and a second big bedroom with two twins. The fully equipped kitchen opens to huge living room that has a new sleep sofabed for extra guests. Home has a TV, DVD player, phone, answering machine, charcoal grill, central AC, full size washer and dryer and more. Kitchen has everything you need: dishwasher, coffee pot, tea pot, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker and every utensil you will ever want. Enjoy the summer evenings sitting on the screen porch, deck and or patio. All you need to bring is your beach towel and a smile.

Our home is located in the quiet family beach community at Lewes Beach in Sussex County, Delaware. Easily located approx. 85 miles from Wilmington, DE, and 125 miles from Philadelphia or Baltimore. This is the first beach you reach in Delaware, so you eliminate the heavy traffic to all other beaches south of Lewes. You will find many fun adventures to keep you busy or you can just relax and enjoy the quiet easy life of Lewes.

There is also a $200 security deposit due 30 day prior to vacation date. This is to be paid by separate check and is refundable after inspection upon vacating home, less cost of any damage found.

Notes: Our home is located in the quiet and historic town of Lewes, Delaware and only a few short steps to the beach. The beach is quiet and never crowed. Home has a large screen porch with table and six chairs so you can eat and relax in comfort. There is also a rear deck with two adirondack chairs and another stone patio in the front of the house. A charcoal grill and cooking utensils are available for use outside only. The property is well shaded with many pine trees, but also has central air conditioning. This is a non smoking home and absolutely no pets of any kind are allowed.

Things to do in Lewes areas nearby: Cape Henlopen State Park is only one mile away. This park has public beaches for bathing, surfing and fishing. It also offers biking and nature trails, camping and has a rich military history. Visit the Nature Center and learn all about the wildlife in the park. For a change of pace you can take the 70 minute trip on the Cape May Lewes Ferry and visit Cape May for the day. With Rehoboth Beach only 3 miles south of Lewes, you can take the family for a walk on the boardwalk or take the kids to Funland for a night of rides and fun. There are also several public golf courses nearby for your golfing pleasure.

Shopping and dinning: You will find an abundance of tax free shopping in the area. Downtown Lewes has many speciality shops ranging from antiques to clothing and fine art. Route One boasts numerous outlet malls. You can also find a Walmart and K Mart for any forgotten items you might need. Even though Lewes is a small town, we have many wonderful restaurants. Stripper Bites, Jerry's Seafood, Second Street Grill, Book by the Bay and The Buttery are just a few right downtown. To satisfy your sweet tooth, try Lewes Bakery and Books by the Bay and of course Dairy Queen and Kings Ice Cream.

The home was clean and well-stocked in the kitchen with everything possible. The screened in porch was very nice for my grandchildren to play in when it rained and we couldn't get to the beach. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even my granchildren ages 10 and 12 said it was just like being at home. It is all on one floor which was very nice for me with a bad knee. The convenience of a washer and dryer there was wonderful with 3 adults and two children. We all enjoyed being so close to the beach and the Dairy Quenn just up the street a bit.

This house was great! Four of us headed to the beach on the weekend of October 24-26. When we walked in the house, we immediately felt at home. The house is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the fireplace was put to good use. I highly recommed this property!
