This is a beautiful raised chalet located on top of the mountain for breath taking views, in Emerald Lakes , a private resort community with six lakes and two swimming pools. It has two bedrooms plus sleeping loft, two full baths, and full basement. The large wrap-around porch includes a screened room. Our home was cable TV, DVD ( movies), VCR (movies), CD player. Centrally located. Convenient to everything. We are across from the pool and tennis courts and a short walk to the beach and boat ramp. Walking distance to indoor pool/community center. This community offers a clubhouse with a heated indoor pool, arcade, restaurant, and bar. There is also a heated outdoor pool, 24 hour security, and lake beaches with lifeguards in the summer. It is located right off I-80, all major highway driving. Conveniently located five miles from Camelback Ski Resort area and Camelbeach Park, outlet shopping, Pocono Raceway, and much, much more. Convenient driveway parking at door.

Hi Donna ... We had a nice, relaxing stay. Your home was perfect for us. My daughter took the bedroom upstairs while my son, husband and I shared the 1st floor bedroom!
We were close to my cousin who also lives in Long Pond -- near the Emerald Lake Estates way down Long Pond Road – I haven’t seen her in 4 years – so it was a nice reunion.

We saw deer everyday – and my dog was not quite sure what to make of them – she didn’t bark, just stood there thinking they were mighty big dogs!!!

The kids enjoyed the indoor pool, snow tubing and horsebackriding -- even my son was able to enjoy a trail ride twice.

Thank you again for the opportunity to stay there for our break away from Long Island. Hopefully we can get up there again soon! Happy New Year!

Disappointing and Misleading

Upon arriving at the property we found it did not have many of the amenities listed on the website. There was no fitness room (a very important feature for my family and I), no filtered water, the dryer was broken. We were forced to hang the wet clothes on the balcony, then it began to rain (not her fault, of course). It was at that time we realized there was no iron. At one point there were no dry towels for showers or swimming. There was no pool table, no ping pong table. The basement reeked of mold or mildew. The pool was filthy on the two occasions we visited. The outdated air conditioner began making a sound and shooting water (maybe because it was so old or completely clogged with dust or maybe the filter just needed changed, I'm not sure. All seemingly minor things individually, but compiled seemed a whole lot worse. I really dont want to sound petty (there are many things I have not mentioned). I still wasnt going to complain. We were on vacation afterall, just trying to make the best of a bad situation. However, when we began to have problems with the toilets we had no choice but to call the owner. It was then that she hung up the phone on me, twice. We ended up leaving a day early. Needless, to say I would not return or recommend.

Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful weekend at the house. We took the kids horseback riding, which they loved. We also went to Bushkill falls. The weather was good, and we saw deer and a buck. Thanks again. Our girls had fun on the mini pool table and we worked on one of the puzzles. Until our next trip, take care. Kim
