Steinmetz Lodge is located on Paradox Lake outlet with private waterfront & boat dock and a quiet, sandy, community beach on the lake for swimming. Great for kids. Very nice kitchen & family room area with cathedral ceiling, Adirondack beams, gas stove/fireplace and two sliding glass doors to large deck overlooking the waterfront. Downstairs, there is a game room with pool table, game table, rustic Adirondack bar & refrigerator, a day bed couch for additional sleeping and another gas stove/fireplace. Slider opens to ground level for easy access to the large, newly constructed boat dock. Quiet Paradox lake offers beautiful wild scenery, water skiing, and great fishing for trout, bass and northern pike. Row boat and canoe provided for your use. Great location only 2 miles from Northway/Rt 87. Hike, cross country ski and backpack on trails connecting remote ponds and mountains in the nearby Pharoah Lake wilderness area. Downhill skiing at Gore Mtn is 35 minutes away and Whiteface is 45.

Easy to access, just 2 miles from the Rt 87 Northway. Schroon Lake village is only 5 minutes away with a supermarket, shops, movie theatre, restaurants and weekly summertime performances at the Segal Music Institute. It's only a 45 minute drive to Saratoga, Lake Placid or Middlebury Vermont. The Pharoah lake wilderness area is nearby offering thousands of acres of secluded hiking trails, mountains and remote ponds stocked with trout. Trails to the Adirondack high peaks are also nearby.

    Out of season (all other weeks)
    $1550/week $900/3 night weekend
  • Deposit of 50% required at time of booking. The balance of rent and a $200 damage deposit are required 14 days before arrival date. The $200 damage will be returned 14 days after departure contingent upon inspection.

    A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment.

Relaxing family getaway home

This home is roomy, comfortable and convenient. Although we didn't take advantage much of the game room, I expect it would be a terrirfic asset if ou were traveling with kids. We appreciated being so close to town and to the highway. The description was accurate and the property was clean and well maintained. The location was excellent for exploring the Adirondacks. Beds were comfortable. As we were all adults, it was nice having all queen size beds. The kitchen was very well equiped.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
