Welcome to your own 5 acre Island where you are the only inhabitant other than the wildlife. This newly constructed post and beam finished in the Fall of 2006 rests between Bar Harbor and Winter Harbor Maine and is included with a private captain and host. The body of water where Spectacle Island Estate resides is called Frenchman’s Bay. The private Island is nestled in an group of smaller islands. The Island is fully equipped with today’s amenities. All the power and water you need to enjoy a peaceful escape. The property also provides an entertainment room with a large screen projection Television, DVD, and Satellite Dish. With a Jacuzzi tub in the master bath you have a place to escape and relax. There are five buildings on the island which include the utility building, boathouse, bunkhouse, original house, and the new post and beam.

From Spectacle Island you are only a short boat ride to Acadia National Park. You can get dropped off right in the middle of Bar Harbor at the town pier. Bar Harbor provides you with lots of entertainment. From the Abbe Museum to the Criterion Theater and many shops to keep you busy. At night Bar Harbor has nightlife and some wonderful places to dine. Also from Spectacle Island you can get whisked away to Southwest Harbor, go to dine on an island at Isleford dock, or enjoy the smaller shops in Northeast Harbor. The list is endless with possibilities, whale or seal watching, fishing, diving, sailing, golfing. What do you want to do? Spectacle Island can keep you busy for days, or if you want the island can also take you away from all the hustle and bustle and let you just unwind. From the rolling waves to the setting sun you will reawaken refreshed.
