Wonderful Vacation

Our experience is nothing but good. The condo looked exactly as the website advertised. The Cayman Kai area is away from the hustle of the areas influxed with vacationers and cruise activity. When we arrived, there were many planes arriving and lots of people. Once we headed out of town and found our condo, we were in paradise! Swimming in the ocean outside the condo we did not do as there is alot of traffic with boats re-fueling and coming to eat at the Kaibo Yacht Club next door.
This was our 2nd trip to the island (last trip 1996) & we wanted to stay in a more quieter area. We have a 9 year old and she loved the pool & had it to herself most of the vacation. We had a car so driving to any destination was very easy.
The phone was not working for local calls so an e-mail to the owner to verify it should be working & then contacting their manager "Judy" (wonderful!) it was fixed in a few days (remember, everything moves slow down there). The next morning, Judy left us a cell phone so we were not without communication.
There are functions at the Kaibo Yacht Club. Usually, we could not hear the noise with the exception of a wedding when at 11:30, kids were screaming into the microphone and the music seemed to get louder - it stopped at 12:00 and it was a Friday night so we got over it!
We used Ebanks Watersports (out of CI Yacht Club - 7-Mile Beach area) to use wave runners to get to the Stingray City sandbar and the Coral Gardens - They were wonderful in re-scheduling my mix-up on days and then working around the weather to make sure we got out there - what a way to experience the stingrays with only 5 wave runners on our trip!
We also took our daughter to Hell, the Turtle Farm, the Botanical Gardens, the Blow Holes, Rum Point, walking down the road to the area with HUGE orange star fish, Georgetown and a public beach on 7-Mile Beach.
I asked her if we went back, which area would she rather stay in and her answer "Cayman Kai"
This trip may go down as the best to date! We loved the relaxing atmosphere the condo provided - being able to eat at home and do laundry when needed is a huge plus!
We always stay in a condo or home when traveling to 1 destination to take advantage of the space & amenities they offer over a hotel room (especially with kids). Remember the food is very expensive so going to the grocery store helps.
Would definately recommend this property.
We love the Cayman Islands!!!
