Quiet, light filled spacious hilltop sanctuary on 4.5 acres, near many well known, loved Berkshire events. The easy living quarters and natural setting invite you to relax and enjoy the natural wonders. Large, beamed great room with cathedral ceiling, skylight and kitchen and dining area, living room with fireplace and study. Patio, screened porch, lovely perennial flowers, spacious lawn. Large Jacuzzi in master bathroom. You might delight in listening to tree frogs, dropping in on the chatter of wild turkeys crossing the lawn. Your imagination might be sparked by passing cotton-clouds and the fleeting images they form while having a cozy breakfast in bed or on the patio and gazing out of the bedroom skylight above you. If you want to expand your observations beyond natural beautiful, antiquing in Sheffield (just minutes away) will transport you across time. This romantic escape is centrally located (2 1/2 hr from NYC and Boston) and ideal for all seasons.

Desirable country setting in Sheffield, private yet convenient to town. Located on a lovely country road. Light bright open floor plan. Patio, screened porch, large lawn, lovely perennial flowers. Excellent biking almost anywhere around the home, with almost no traffic. The Berkshires invite you to explore the dynamic relationship that occurs between nature and culture. Skiing at Catamount or Butternut (about 15 miles), cross country skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, walking, picnics, Tanglewood, Shakespeare and Company, Berkshire Choral Festival, Hancock Shaker Village, Sheffield Historical Society, various music performances, summer stock plays, cultural events, antiquing, camping, historical sites, galleries, museums, pottery, glass, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Jacobs Pillow, Appalachian Trail, Triplex Cinema in town, great restaurants. Good sushi places, Mexican food, and everything in-between. The Berkshires are sophisticated and at the same time casual and laid back.

This is an awesome house to get away from it all. The owners were very helpful in arranging plans. The house and property are beautiful. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place.

Perfect house for 3 couples. We had a great time, house was perfect for us. Great location to Great barrington, but still private. i will rent again for sure. i never write reviews, but i like the experience and Joe is very nice.
