A Long Happy Rental History:
Our home has been rented by an agency for over 20 years and we took over management ourselves three years ago (The company no longer handles short-term rentals.) We have had numerous happy repeat guests over the years with many returning season after season . During the summer/fall of 2006, we redecorated many rooms, painted, stained and installed new carpeting upstairs, added a casino-style game table, improved seating in the game room & added a second TV with X-Box, changed the woodstove to gas and added wireless Internet access. New downstairs/stairs carpet Dec. 2007.
On-Mountain Convenience:
This home is a true ski-to-ski-from property. In peak season (weather permitting), there is no need to drive to the busy parking lots at the ski area - just put your skis/board on and cruise down the Home Stretch Trail to the Skyeship base. Ski/ride home for lunch and then head back out for the afternoon. Killington offered DAILY operations of the Skyeship (lift that accesses our side of the mt.) from Christmas 2008 - end of March, 2009!! We expect the same schedule for 2009-2010.
Peaceful Off-Season Getaway:
Summer and fall are wonderfully quiet periods in Vermont. Enjoy great hiking or mountain biking right from the house. Challenging and scenic golf courses are nearby. Have a fun family day at nearby Pico on the Alpine Slide, climbing wall, 'bungee thing', or go for horseback ride. Explore the state on one of the country's most beautiful roads, Route 100, just down the road. Great motorcycle roads are everywhere! Horse shows, antiques auctions, country fairs, farmers markets, outdoor concerts...and many more fun events await.
