Bald Head Island offers unprecedented peace and beauty combined with excellent order to create the perfect vacation. Our centrally located home provides complete ease of access to everything on the island . We include either a temporary membership to either the signature golf club or the new swim club. We have 2 golf carts, a splendid kitchen, beautiful master suite, movies, games, beach towels, coolers... everything you might need. Our home also boasts splendid views of the ocean and 2 golf course holes, including the signature hole. You can take them all in from our spacious front porch. The island blends natural surroundings with complete function to seamlessly give you access to anything from shopping to canoeing. In addition, the Turtle Conservancy gives nightly turtle walks to educate about the lives of the Loggerhead turtles. Small specialty shops available, and the island grocery store has just about everything you might need. Also enjoy the well preserved lighthouse

Bald Head Island lies in the Southeast portion of North Carolina, just beyond the historic town of Southport. Southport boasts the area's largest July 4th celebration, and the festivities carry over onto Bald Head Island. In addition, the Southport area offers excellent Civil War battle grounds and beautiful azalea exhibits. The original downtown supports many antique shops and other quaint shopping experiences, including my favorite, a fabric store! The area provides the opportunity to do just about whatever your heart desires in regard to ocean activities. You will truly enjoy your stay!

  • How to rent
  • Simply send me an e-mail, and I will either e-mail you or fax you a copy of the Rental Agreement. A 50% deposit is due upon signing, and the balance is due 45 days prior to your arrival. Prior to arrival, you must make a tram and ferry reservation. Upon arriving, you can drop off your things at the dock, pick up your ferry tickets, park your car, take the shuttle back to the dock and hop on the ferry. Upon leaving the ferry, inquire as to your tram. The tram will take your family and luggage to our house. The house will be unlocked and the keys are inside the door. Enjoy your stay!
  • Weekly rates range from $1700-$2999

Golf and Swim Clubs: Your week long rental includes a temporary membership to either our beautiful golf or swim club. The golf club offers a beautiful 18-hole , George Cobb designed, golf course. Golf Digest rates Bald Head Island 12th of the 50 courses available in the coastal area. You will truly enjoy it In addition to golf, the club offers a wonderful full service restaurant and bar, tennis, swimming, a wonderful 'Pelicatessen', and croquet! Have fun! The Shoals Swim Club is situated on the tip of the island just above the Shoals. This beautiful vantage point offers spectacular views and a private beach access complete with large umbrellas. You will love your choice of two swimming pools or a sauna. The club also prepares grilled food poolside. Inside the club house, you can feast at the beautiful full service restaurant.

We enjoyed our stay at Rhapsody. The kitchen was large and easy to cook in. The bedrooms were comfortable. It was a great house and we would rent it again. The owner provided excellent service.
