Welcome to Casa de Mare. This charming little oceanfront cottage is perched 100 feet above the beautiful beaches of the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary in Sunset State Beach. Completely refurbished as a cozy vacation home, this house has everything you could want to make a romantic getaway or honeymoon destination. This is also a pet-friendly property! Watch whales and dolphins frolic from your living room window and sleep soundly with the waves crashing below. Stroll miles of uncrowded beaches, hike the paths of the 280 acre State Park, golf the world-class courses of the Monterey Peninsula or visit the famous Monterey Aquarium. Shop Carmel and quaint Pacific Grove or take a whale-watching cruise from nearby Moss Landing harbor. The directory in the cottage lists the many places to visit - with or without your dog.

Whale watching tours are 10 minutes away in quaint Moss Landing Harbor and there are fun side trips to the mission at San Juan Bautista or Capitola By The Sea.

we managed to secure this rental for new year, and had a wonderful "get away from it all" trip. the house was wonderful, just what we needed. the manager was responsive and helpful during the booking process. the weather was incredible, our two young daughters had a fabulous time and we have jars of shells and sand-dollars to remember this wonderful trip. we will return again. i would highly recommend this rental for a peaceful, relaxing beach holiday
