Attractions:
A short distance from the house are the Vero Beach Museum of Art, and the Riverside Theater for live productions. The Nutcracker is a favorite for the Holidays along with several other wonderful plays and performances. The Museum of Art offers workshops in painting, drawing, sculpture and ceramics. A park for picnicking, jogging and exercise is near the museum and theater. On Ocean Drive, there are many shops and restaurants. Oceanside parks and a boardwalk are within a 10-minute drive from the house. By car, a major shopping center and a collection of brand-name discount stores can be reached. Disney World is about 2 hours away by car. Cape Canaveral is 2 hours away. Ft. Lauderdale, The Everglades, and Tampa are each 3 hours.
Major League Baseball - Spring and Summer:
The Los Angeles Dodgers hold their spring training camp in the month of March. This spring training complex is probably the most historic one in major league baseball. The facility was voted the best spring training facility in MLB! Come watch the pros and enjoy the great American past-time ... a Dodger Dog. You might even get the autograph you've always wanted! After spring training, games are played daily against other major league teams; Mets, Cardinals, Cubs etc., April through September.
