On a hill bordered by Valencia's only coastal national park, with stunning sea-views. A sandy cove is just a 5 min walk away and 4 larger beaches are also within easy reach if you head south from there. Rock pools, sandy inlets and unbridled Mediterranean nature beckon if you head north. There are several good restaurants nearby serving local delicacies like Bbq artichokes or asparagus, as well as a range of grilled fish and paellas -- from Valencia's standard meat and beans paella to rice with lobster or rice with monk fish, cuttlefish and cauliflower (we'll tell you where). The local fruit, cheese, wine and bread are also excellent. The facilities are good too -- including a well-staffed walk-in doctor's surgery, superb delis, a lively marina, tourism info centre, and a full range of sporting options. Port Aventura is 1 hour away. Go-karting and Aquarama water park is half-hour away. Top flight Spanish footy (Villarreal and Valencia) is 40-60 mins away. Barcelona is 2 hrs
