Cream of the Crop

I've had many beach vacations and stayed at numerous cottages. This seaside property is by far the loveliest and most authentic in which I've had the privilege of staying.
Upon arrival, I was immediately delighted to see four separate sitting areas outside and a private, lushly landscaped backyard that includes an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water (showering outside made us feel like were were on a secluded tropical island!). The (clean) garage houses a washer/dryer and an amazing assortment of beach supplies ranging from snorkeling gear to well-maintained beach chairs and umbrellas. There is even a kayak available for use!
The inside of the cottage is as delightful as the exterior. Immaculately remodeled, the cottage's fixtures are contemporary and sparkling. The layout is perfect: rooms bright and airy with an open kitchen (that is as well-stocked as mine at home!).The furniture is attractive, clean, and comfortable and invites peaceful lounging. The bedrooms are private and well-decorated. Many seaside cottages have nautical decor that borders on tacky; this cottage DOES not! The colors are soothing, and the sheets are soft. Ceiling fans and excellent a/c control the temperature beautifully.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the beach. We headed to Florida for a beach getaway, so much of our time was spent on the beach. And what a stunning one it is! It's superbly quiet; in fact, I only saw six other people on the strip by our private access. For those seeking more action, however, it is within walking distance to a heavier populated, dog-friendly area. The ocean is magnificent, and the sand is smooth and trash-free . We even found some unique shells on our long walks along the ocean.
Juno Beach, the town in which the cottage is located, is a cute pocket of southern Florida that has endless choices for good food and entertainment. I preferred to lounge at the cottage with a good book; however, there are several options for those who do not. A resource-rich binder of information created by the owners sits on the kitchen table with suggestions.
Which brings me to the owners, David and Anita. They are fabulously attentive, kind, and accommodating and have a desire to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I appreciated having them next door with their adorable four-legged family of canines!
Having found this seaside cottage, I know I will search no more. You will feel the same!
