A soaring beamed ceiling in the main room, two stone fireplaces, skylights upstairs and down and country furnishings all create a rustic charm at our log cabin in historic Colebrook, Connecticut, in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. This is a perfect year-round destination. Close to skiing, skating and winter activities, in the winter, leaf-peeping in the fall, bird watching, fishing, tubing and swimming in the warm weather months. The house is located on seven private wooded acres with a lovely swimming pond and private beach. Except for your groceries, everything you need for your stay is furnished.

The historic town of Colebrook is a brisk walk away. There you will find the public beach, a delightfully refreshing pond with picnic tables and changing rooms, basketball court, and baseball diamond. Of course, there's the Colebrook country store, one of only three country stores remaining in Connecticut. Nearby are four state forests. There are lots of indoor and outdoor activities all year round. Scenic drives in this area can be found on Route 7, Route 41, Route 44, and Route 272. Wonderful for autumn leaf-peeping or winter getaways. This is a very snowy area of Connecticut and ski slopes are just 15 minutes away. Antique and curio shops are abundant along with galleries, restaurants, and wineries. Family fun activities include go-carts, batting cages, a multiplex movie theater for everyone and dinner/pub movie theater for the over 21 crowd.

we just came back from a weekend in the cabin.
it was amzing!!! this cabin is perfect, it has every thing you need in one place for evry weather.
we had a weekend that was very rainy and we hardly got a chance to enjoy the outdoors, the pond and the trampoline, but the indoors was very inviting, cozy, clean. plenty to do.
the owners are very nice, we will definitly come back, hopefully with a better weather.
but still just perfect!!!!!

The stay in the log cabin was just what we wanted
it be. The cabin is cozy yet big enough to
accommodate our group comfortably. The kitchen
was well stocked with equipment. The cabin was
warm and clean. The location is great- quiet but
near a small town and easily accessible. After a
snowfall the place became even cozier!

I can't say enough about our weekend at your log cabin. To say it was perfect would be an understatement! It was only an hour from our house but felt worlds away. We loved relaxing in the hot tub, lying by the fire, walking around the property and using the game room. We arrived Friday night and didn't leave until we had to Sunday afternoon. The kitchen had all the necessities that we needed and beyond to prepare a home cooked meal. I can't wait to go back in the winter to go ice skating and the summer to make smores by the lake!

Our stay at the Cabin was wonderful. The location was perfect for us. It was quiet, relaxing, and fun. The Cabin is in excellent condition and well equip. We enjoyed both the fireplace and the jacuzzi. Highly recommend to anyone wishing to get away from the rest of the world for a couple of days.

What a lovely cabin this is! We enjoyed every second
we were there, and intend to return. Everything was
well labeled and immaculate. We felt at home
immediately and enjoyed the trampoline, pool
table, air hockey, and even the board games, as
well as the fireplace. We never did get in the hot
tub, but it looked inviting! The beds were comfy,
cozy and the cabin was wonderful in the downpour
of rain we had. Thanks so much, we'll be back!
