This idyllic Spanish-style villa is set in beautiful countryside yet is only 5 mins from Alhaurin el Grande, 20 mins from the beautiful white village of Mijas and half an hour to Malaga Airport. The traditional house is set in formal gardens with many terraces, fountain, fish pond, large swimming pool surrounded by stunning views, almond and fruit trees. The excellent road system gives easy access to all the famous Andalucian historical cities such as Cordoba, Seville, Granada, Cadiz and Malaga, with Fuengirola, Marbella and the Mediterranean coast just 30 minutes drive. Horse riding, walking, tennis and many excellent golf courses are all close-by. There is plenty of car parking space and a car is essential in order to explore this fascinating area of Andalucia. Alhaurin Golf complex is five minutes from the house and there are many other golf courses within easy reach. The water park, Tivoli, and several zoos are great attractions for the children.

Car: necessary
Finca San Bernadino is at the end of a long, tarmac track, giving peace and tranquillity, with outstanding 360 degree views, including mountains and pine forests. From the top of the track it is 5 mins to the town of Alhaurin el Grande with its narrow streets, bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and many small parks. There is a market every Thursday and a children's playground on the outskirts of town. For more serious shopping the towns of Malaga, Fuengirola and Marbella are 30 mins drive away as are the beaches with their bars and restaurants. The famous white villages are close by with Mijas, Monda and Istan about 15 mins and others an interesting drive through the countryside. Gibralter is about 1.5 hours on the motorway with tax free shopping, the barbary apes and historical sites to wander around. Tarifa which is about half an hour further on from Gibralter is on the Atlantic coast with windsurfing, white beaches and dolphins.
