12 minute walk (& 2 minute drive) to town and 1& 1/2 blocks to closest Acadia Nat'l. Park entrance (Duck Brook Road) from downtown Bar Harbor. Five minute drive to Cadillac Mountain and Park Visitors Center on Park Loop Road just behind the house. Three-story, end unit town home, one of three homes on our street, with 4 balconies close to park trails (.1 mile), shops (.5), restaurants (.4) and golf (.4 mile), and Bar Harbor Pier and Shore Path (.9 mile). Also close to Duck Brook Bridge gateway to 40 miles of Rockefeller carriage roads (hiking, biking, horseback riding). Beautifully decorated. See unsolicited reviews.

Directions: From West Street Pier (by Bar Harbor Inn and town pier), go up West St. towards Route 3 (also called Eden St.) Cross over Rte. 3/Eden St. and the road becomes 'West Street Extended' which, in 1/2 of a mile, becomes an entrance to Acadia National Park (Duck Brook Road entrance). A block and a half BEFORE the entrance to the Park, you will see the house on the corner of North Woodbury and West St. Extended.

It has antique dresser drawers, accent chair, side tables, closet and one large window with Roman shades. Bedroom three has a nautical motif with two large windows, a closet and drawer space.

2 Mid-Aged couples stayed 1 week with a very good impression. Property is well-represented in the ad and the description is accurate. Everthing was new-condition, well-stocked and very clean. No phone - but, Wi-Fi and cable worked great. Must park in garage. Great for bike access to carriage roads. The walk-up may be too much for some. Comfortable seating in every room. Gas Grill and picnic table are great. Window A/C units help eliminate some minor road noise. Location great for walking to restaurants in BH.

We traveled here from California and New Jersey. Two seniors, two 50 year olds and two 15 year olds! This home is amazing. We feel like we're in a 5 star resort and it's as comfortable as our own home. Everything is exactly as described. We love the fast and easy access to Arcadia National Park and to downtown Bar Harbor. It has a great assortment of DVD's to watch when your're exhausted from hiking or shopping. Thanks to the owner for EVERYTHING! She is a great communicator and has stocked her home with great information for what to do in the area. We hope to come back here again one day! (there are stairs which may be difficult with those who have physical challanges)

We just returned home after spending a week in Bar Harbor. The condo was fabulous. It is very conveniently located to town and Acadia. Even though we had a lot of rain and fog, there was plenty to do. The condo was well equipted and we felt we were at home. Our grandchildren had fun working on puzzlesand watching movies on rainy nights. Thanks for the lobster pot! Eldie, Rick, Justin and Alicia

Gorgeous in-town property, fully equipped

We stayed at this house with our three teenage daughters for one week in July. One block behind the house is the Duck Brook Road Entrance to the park so it was very easy to hike into the park or ride our bikes up that way. We actually ran into a moose at Witch Hole Pond not far from the house even though we were told the moose are on the west side of the island. Not so! The house and furniture are way over the top and the linens and towels are definitely a notch above the usual quality found in rentals. Laundry detergent, Shout, Bounce, dishasher tabs, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. are all supplied. There are lots of pots, pans, baking dishes, matching dishes, matching silverware, mugs, wine glasses, regular glasses and on and on. The mattresses were pillow top and top of the line! Can't recommend highly enough.

We had a fabulous vacation in Bar Harbor, Maine. This was the perfect rental! It was very comfortable, beautifully furnished, and located close to town and Acadia National Park. The owner went out of her way to accommodate guests with lots of amenities and useful sight-seeing and restaurant info.
