Local Area:
Trenton is the gateway to Acadia. Located just minutes from Mount Desert Island, Trenton is off the beaten path and offers all the natural beauty of Downeast Maine without the crowds, traffic or bustle of more tourist-heavy towns like Bar Harbor. Western Bay is sheltered and shallow, so it provides good swimming conditions in water that's just a little a bit warmer than much of the area. Acadia National Park and the towns of MDI (Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Somesville) are a 10 to 20 minute drive away. Locally, there are several mini-golf parks and water slides.
