This lovely apartment, recently redecorated and newly furnished, is located in the desireable Monte Sacro area of Rome. Its' two balconies overlook the Aniene River and close by are several public bus lines that run directly to the historic, shopping and financial centers of the city just 20 minutes away. Even more convenient, the new ternminal servicing the city's direct train line to and from Rome's international airport is situated one block from the apartment. Many neighborhood trattorias, bars, shops, stores and markets are also conveniently situated nearby. This is an ideal base from which one can easily explore and visit this great city and experience the Roman way of life.

Apartment is located in a quiet residential area just outside the center of Rome. The neighborhood contains banks, street markets, supermarkets, newsstands, boutiques, pharmacies, laundromats, post office, bars, restaurants,etc all within 1 or 2 blocks distance. There is a bicycle, jogging path that borders the river directly in front of the apartment and has children's playgrounds included. Transportation to the city center is very efficient and accessible by public bus just 20 minutes distance.

Notes: Owner's daughter lives in the same neighborhood and acts as on-site agent. Greets tenants with keys and information regarding the apartment and its amenities, the neighborhood, and other pertinent items such as bus schedules, maps of the area, suggested sites to visit, directions to restaurants, markets, post office, banks, and other important places in the area, etc. Also, she is bilingual and is available for assistance if needed during the tenant's stay in the apartment. A cleaning is provided each week with a fresh set of linens. Each room is heated separately with wall gas heaters controlled by a thermostat.

Roomy and comfortable apartment

We have rented this apartment several times in the last few years. Our last visit was for 2 weeks in Dec. of 2008. The apt. is roomy, comfortable and pleasant. The views from the balconies allow you to view the river below and the city around you. We especially enjoyed shopping for fruit,veggies, meats, flowers, etc. at the nearby, daily street market. Two supermercatos( supermarkets) are also close by.
The bus system is regular and easily used to reach the center of Rome. The owner's daughter(a resident of the area) is extremely helpful. She will meet you at the train station, give you tips to enhance your stay, and answer all your questions regarding bella Roma. We have always enjoyed our visits to the area and apartment.
Owner's Response: Bill and Pam, along with several other couples and past tenants are among a group that have rented our apartment several times. We are always anxious to increase and upgrade our services and amenities to such renters since they are our best advertisement of the quality of our facilities and premises. Their satisfaction, comments and suggestions are the standards that we strive to achieve and promote in the presentation of the rental property.

Our family found this apartment to be the best of our trip to Italy. The accomodations were very comfortable for four adults. It was nicely located, far enough away from the city centre but close enough to travel easily by bus. The air conditioning a real treat during the warm May weather. We appreciated the many helpful tips and suggestions provided by John and Marilee. Anyone would be lucky to stay in this Rome Apartment!

Perfect Apartment

We stayed for two weeks in late April, early May 2009. We had been to Rome a couple of times before and wanted a change from the hotel experience. The apartment was roomy, clean and well situated to take buses to many different locations in the central city. Plus, the buses ran late so there was no problem spending a late night in the City and then returning home. The local neighborhood market is excellent and there are shops of every description nearby. The owner and his daughter (who lives in Rome) were very helpful.
