The villa is situated in the very quiet and safe neighbourhood of ‘Grote Berg’ (‘Big Mountain’). Many guests appreciate the very central location on Curaçao as you can reach the very beautiful city center of Willemstad (Otrobanda and Punda) and the most beautiful beaches such as Daaibooi, Porto Mari and Cas Abao in just 10-15 minutes. The villa is close to many other amenities: a very well equipped supermarket, medical facilities and other shops are only a short 5-minutes drive away from the villa. The villa is very spacious (on a lot of 940 sq meter, 10.000 sq ft), built area 350 sq meter (4.000 sq ft), has 5 bedrooms (3 on ground floor, therefore suitable for the disabled), 2 bathrooms (1 on ground floor). Large kitchen with all the appliances, incl. large fridge with ice dispenser. Sunny and shady terraces all around the villa. Private Pool (free form) with separate children's' part. Access to pool area secured by fence for small children's safety. Parking on own lot.

The island of Curacao is one of the Dutch Antilles and situated in front of Venezuela. Outside the hurricane belt, so no worries for cyclones. There is year round sunny weather, only some rain from November to February (showers only, mainly afternoon or night). The island is only 50 km from east to west, but has a lot to offer: national park, beautiful, cosy and sandy beaches all along the south coast with superb diving (mainly shore diving, no need for a boat!) and snorkeling. The beaches are quiet, even in high season. Willemstad is a beautiful town (Unesco World Heritage Site) with mix of Dutch architecture and Caribbean colours. Some 'Amsterdam' and a lot of Caribbean! The villa is situated on the west side of Willemstad, in the neighbourhood of Grote Berg, a small 'cul de sac' with villas and luxury homes (no through-traffic). It is close to the most famous beaches, world class diving and snorkeling, Willemstad, restaurants, shops and other attractions.

My family and I just returned from Curacao for the Christmas holiday. We spent part of our time at Kas Ku Palma and the other part at a large hotel on the beach. We have 3 young children between the ages of 2-8.
The property is clean and well maintained. Expect to purchase everything for your stay like trash sacks, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and even soap for use in the kitchen!
The villa has a good layout for kids. The pool is safe as it has locks on the gates. We expected the television to work as our children like to wind down at night with a good movie while on vacation. They did not have cable or any channels. Also, we loved the idea of our kids (and adults too!) having a jacuzzi tub. That was not operational either. Another surprise was when the staff arrived to open the villa, they only unlocked the rooms we needed. I was never informed that we would only have partial use of the villa. I asked to change rooms with the owner and was told that was not possible (of course, anything is possible for an additional charge). Don't forget to turn out the lights! With everything that was non-functioning, we were still charged for electricity and I followed my family around turning out lights!
We found the people on the island to be just shy of cold. Try getting people to smile!!! The food was marginal. The sunshine was lovely. Do expect rain throughout the day but for very short periods of time. The Hato Cave was a fun tour.
Our family picks a new holiday spot every year...we have many wonderful experiences to compare this to. We would simply not recommend this locale...the island charm is lost on unhappy faces!
