This host family has generously opened their cute little home on the Chesapeake to all those who want peace and quiet and the feeling of getting away. I spent a week there; had my tea on the beach, watched the waves, let my bones settle. It was perfect.

Each morning I walked down the country road to gather firewood for the cozy fireplace. There was everything I needed. When I had a question, Winnie, the owner, was available to answer.

I hesitate reviewing this one because I'd like to keep it to myself. But I'll let you all know that if you need a cozy place right on the quiet waters of the chesapeake that's not at all pretentious or impersonal, check out this one.

The place was well-kept and BEAUTIFUL! Right on the beach. We hunted for sharks teeth, and found sea glass. The house felt so much like home, when it came time to leave, we didn't want to. I felt like it was my new home and I just moved there, and suddenly I was leaving to move again.

I loved my time at the bay. This location has the water so close that it was very relaxing to get up early and enjoy a beautiful sunrise! If romance is what you want...it's secluded enough that you can have it...or a girls' time away! Loved that it's so close to home too and I didn't have to deal with airports...

The owners couldn't be more accomodating...Thank you! =)
