Superb chateau!: Chateau de la Coutanciere is a beautiful and charming early 19th century chateau, which offers stylish and luxurious accommodation for groups up to 20 people. It is located in the centre of the Loire-Valley, France 's most beautiful region, famous for its castles and vineyards. Situated in its idyllic park of more than 11 ha, crossed by a small river with waterfall, this property is abundant with privacy and beauty. You can find several traditional facilities within the park, like outdoor chess and an outdoor kitchen, which you can make use of. Dutch bikes are also at your disposal. Moreover, in one of the stunning outbuildings are the horse stables, which provides you the opportunity to bring along your horses!

History and present: Its rich history makes the chateau very interesting. It served as a hunting lodge for a wealthy family in the sixteenth century. In the year 1579 a murder took place in the chateau. That murder on Bussy d 'Amboise by the Comte de Montsoreau, is described in the book ‘La veritable dame de Montsoreau' by Alexandre Dumas. A massive fire destroyed the castle in 1825, and it has been rebuilt the years after. Many authentic elements, such as two 16th century statues and a 16th century mosaic floor with family weapon, are still present in the castle. Nowadays, Chateau de la Coutanciere is furnished and decorated with French antiques. The traditional gentlemen 's room and the hunting room provide you the ideal setting for stylish relaxation. Furthermore the castle has three other sitting rooms at the ground floor. The dining room has a really impressive table! The castle 's kitchen is professionally equipped with amongst others an 8-burner Boretti cooker.

Interior: All 10 bedrooms are furnished in style and each has its own warm character. The Lit Jumeaux bedding makes us very flexible in changing the composition of the bedding in order to meet your specific desires. Therefore the castle is not only assessable for family groups, but makes it also ideal for companies and clubs etc. Most of the bedrooms have their own bathroom. Chateau de la Coutanciere is located quietly, yet in the middle of very touristy surroundings, which lend themselves to a variety of activities such as horse riding, golfing, hunting, fishing, cycling and walking.
