Wonderful new home in serene setting with mountain views but less than 3 min to Singletons Gen. Store, 7 min. to Okemo Mt. & 40 min. to nine ski mountains! House designed for both togetherness & privacy. Three levels; main level is a sunny open floor plan including living area with gas fireplace, dining area, beautifully equipped kitchen, mudroom entry, large coat/ski closet and full bath. Dining area seats 8 plus counter seating for 3. Lower level bunk room sleeps 4 in two sets bunk beds and includes a Sauna, additional living area with seating for five, dressing room, second refrigerator & microwave, laundry room (washer/dryer/washtub). Upper level has two bedrooms with queen beds, double closets and large bathroom with deep soaking tub (shower/tub combo) w/linen closet. TV/DVDs in all bed/bunkrooms and main level. Two porches front & back for enjoying the peaceful view. Central air-conditioning for warm nights. Great for 2 families w/4 children or 2-3 couples + single friends.

Ski, Hike, Bike, Fish, Explore, Relax.: The Okemo Mt. Ludlow/Cavendish is full of things to do for all ages. Skiing is a big item in winter but the rest of the seasons have lots to do everyday from fishing, biking, hiking, to swimming in an old fashioned swimming hole. Just looking for salamanders along the Black River thrills the kids. The most beautiful season is Summer according to the locals, so lush & green it's almost tropical. There are many sights, museums and local events on the Village Greens to explore. Woodstock, where you'll find Billings Farm Museum, many galleries & shops is a pleasant ride away. The VINS Center, Quechee, where the exhibits are devoted to rescued birds is interesting for everyone. Rutland has a wonderful theater and opera house with many cultural events all year long. Good restaurants abound throughout the region, serving locally produced food in imaginative and delicious ways. The best thing about Vermont, though, is the friendly people and the relaxed atmosphere. A true vacation spot.

We loved this rental! It had everything we needed. The house is clean, cozy and has plenty of room. We stayed for a weekend in the Fall and the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. It is just a short drive to a very charming town. Great rental, Thank You!

Home away from home

This house is located on a peaceful and scenic road in Cavendish. Although it is rural, the area is centrally located to all that southern and central Vermont has to offer. We are planning a second stay in this house this summer, and have even increased our vacation to a two week stay. The house has every amenity you could possibly need and then some. It is immaculate, comfortable and very family friendly. The boys can play ball outside, as my husband and I grill dinner and enjoy the scenery. Camp Plymouth offers us a daily trip to a pristine lake, while swimming holes and hiking fill our days as well. On cooler Vermont summer nights, my husband can be found enjoying the sauna in the basement which is truly another little getaway altogether. The home's layout affords everyone in my family their own private time after a long busy day, which is necessary when travelling with two young boys! I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for that true "Vermont experience."
