Great Fall get away!!! Best of the Maine coast! Views of the rugged Maine coast from a beautiful secluded sandy beach on Indian Point. Very cozy and comfortable cottage with a fireplace made of beach stones. Great for those cool fall nights after warm dry days on the beach. It is a 3 bedroom, four season cottage right on the beach. Classic Maine views of pine tree covered Islands, majestic light houses and rocky coves littered with colorful lobster buoys. The cottage interior is all natural pine with the stone fireplace. The open kitchen/dining/ living room area over looks the beach and spectacular views. Special Fall rates. Ask any 'Mainiac' and they will tell you late Summer and Fall are the best times to be in Maine.

Located on Indian Point, a private 400 acre land preserve of woods, beaches, bays , tidal sand flats, majestic rock promontories and spectacular views. Indian Point is at the southern most tip of Georgetowm, which sits between the mouth of the Sheepscot and Kennebec Rivers. Though most stay on Indian Point for its feeling of a remote island get away, others take the 10 minute drive to well known Georgetown attractions such as the beaches of Reid State Park and Five Islands Lobster Wharf , known for its delicious lobster feasts and one of the prettiest views in Maine. Other Georgetown attractions include The Robinhood Meeting House ( five star dining), Georgetown Pottery and several artists' galleries. A little farther down the road, twenty minutes away is the historic town of Bath with its many wonderful shops and restaurants as well as the Maine Maritime Museum . For more sightseeing, Portland and Boothbay Harbor are both an hour drive away.

Beach Right of Way: Please note that the Cottage is on one of many Indian Point beaches. Indian Point is a land association which means owners and renters all have access to the beaches, the bay , the woods walking paths and the promontory rocks. We, the owners of the Cottage, stay in a house 100 yards up the hill from the Cottage and our access to the beach is by a right of way path going across the yard of the Cottage and down a set of stairs in front of the Cottage. We also keep our beach chairs and kayaks on the beach in front of the cottage. If you would like to bring a kayak or other beach 'toys', we can arrange for them to be kept on the beach also.
