Two wood burning fireplaces, one inside and one outside with cut wood. Phone with domestic long distance. Full kitchen stocked for 16, including all normal electronics. (coffee maker with timer, toaster, blender, crock pot, pots & pans and dishes for 16), Double refrigerator with ice maker, Microwave, Electric oven and stove, Dishwasher, Washer/Dryer and linens for 16, Outdoor gas grill. Family dining table that will seat 12 at once, along with a bar that seats four. After a day of skiing or hiking, relax in the outdoor hot tub that overlooks the valley with unobstructed views of the stars. If you prefer inside entertainment, there is satellite TV with VCR/DVD, CD Player, Foosball in the bunk room, and an assortment of games for the kids. The loft is stocked with a good assortment of books for your reading pleasure. Sledding run on the property. Nearby, fishing, tennis, golf, biking, skiing, horseback riding, restaurants.

Angel Fire Rock House is located in the Angel Fire Resort, just 45 minutes east of Taos and three hours north of Albuquerque. Our home is located on the ski side of the mountain 10 minutes (about 4 miles) from the base of the ski area. At the cool elevation of 9,835 feet, the views of the Moreno Valley are spectacular and the quiet of the forest is only broken by the wildlife. Listen to the elk bugle, watch deer and turkey walk through the property, fish in nearby El Monte or Eagle Nest lakes or the quality waters of Cimarron Valley. Just minutes away, is the Angel Fire ski area that offers downhill skiing and snowboarding in the Winter and world class mountain biking in the summer. Miles of hiking trails, cross country skiing and back country wilderness await you. As you can see, there is plenty to do, but even better, you can enjoy the quiet of the mountains and the serenity of a quiet space. As the Italians say, “Dolce far niente”.

Notes: Decks surround the view sides of the house and an upper deck off the upstairs loft offers the most incredible morning coffee or afternoon wine views in all of Angel Fire. The “wreck” room has plenty of entertainment for the kids and includes a mudroom right inside the covered wood storage entry. The house sleeps 12 in REAL beds and can accommodate as many as 16 people comfortably. Radiant in floor heat and a monitored alarm system will keep you safe and warm. There is a two-car garage to get your vehicle out of the weather along with a parking area at the street if the snow is too deep! There is a sledding run on the property.

Our home is located approximately ten minutes (just over 4 miles) from the base of the ski area, on the ski side of the mountain. There is also a drop point at the end of our road (approx. 1/4 mile) where you can unload skiers and equipment directly on to a ski run.
