The Beach House on the Dunes in Summer Haven south of St. Augustine, Florida, is Every one's Favorite Beach House! Book early for this house rents out 50 weeks a year! If you are looking for a secluded, ocean and river front home, this is it. Thirty three hundred square feet of wood and windows for your family and friends to stretch and enjoy a true beach vacation. In all seasons, our mild weather and nearly deserted beaches will give you the peace and quiet you want. Beautifully furnished, each room is an oasis of comfort and amenities - TVs tucked away, music, a great library, beautiful linens, a well appointed kitchen - we've set this home up just the way we want it - with your joy as our reward. Historic St. Augustine is 20 minutes away, Jacksonville airport just 65 miles away, and a quick 1.5 hours to Disney, Universal and Sea World. Many of our guests come with lots of plans and just end up at the beach and in the hammock for their week at The Beach House!

Summer Haven is the southern most point in the St. Augustine area. It is just north of Marineland, our nation's oldest aquarium, which is undergoing a major renovation. St. Augustine is our nation's oldest city, settled in 1565. My favorite advice is to take a horse-drawn carriage ride during your first trip to town. It's utterly charming and very informative - from there pick your favorite spots and plan to visit a few during your week: Fort Castillo de San Marcos, Ripley's Believe It or Not, The Fountain of Youth, the Lightner Museum. We're 45 minutes away from the NASCAR excitement of Daytona; 1.5 hours from the madness of Disney, Universal and Sea World. We're 1.25 hours from Kennedy Space Center - which is a wonderful day trip. There are also 150 beautiful state parks in Florida, and two national parks in our county. One can rent a boat for the day, to explore the beautiful intracoastal waterway. So much to do - come for a visit, stay for a lifetime!

  • Tax of 9% is included. Housekeeping/cleaning fees are included. 50% deposit required.
  • Tax & Housekeeping: All state and county taxes are included in the rates noted above. Housekeeping is also included; ask us about our clean house policy!

    Deposits: To reserve a home, 50% of the total fee is due at time of reservation. The balance of the fee is due 30 days before your arrival.

    Payment Policies: We accept all major credit cards and checks. See our full rental agreement for policies.

    Cancellations: Should your plans change after your deposit or full payment has been made, we will happily reschedule your stay for a mutually convenient time. No refunds are given on this or any of our homes.

    Arrival/Departure: Check-in at 4:00 P.M. - time to chill the wine and enjoy the beach! Check-out at 11:00 A.M. to make room for our next guests!

    Holiday Rates: A 25% increase will occur at major holidays and event weeks. Our favorite holidays are Christmas, New Years' Eve, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.

  • The bathrooms for the Master Suite and the yellow and green rooms have beautiful windows offering beautiful views of the ocean and river. We've chosen the best towels and linens for your comfort.

  • The Master Suite is at the south end of the house, with a bathroom en suite and a hot tub just out back. King bed, lovely linens, lots of closets, a settee, TV. This room has magnificent views of the ocean and the river and is separate from the rest of the house. The second, third and fourth bedrooms are at the north end of the house. The yellow and green bedrooms face the ocean. There is a door from each bedroom to the outside deck - perfect for sneaking out for a moonlight walk or swim! The yellow and green rooms share a Jack & Jill bathroom that has a beautiful tub with a window to the ocean. The turquoise room faces the river and has a bathroom in the hallway. Also, there's a private door to skip outside when you want to! Each bedroom has it's own TV and satellite TV. The children's loft is up above the great room. There are two trundle beds, which open to four twins. A TV with a VCR to keep the munchkins happy.
