Luxury amenities! Spacious new cottage, large family room/kitchen granite countertops, fireplace, large screened patio for enjoying evenings. Every room has a view of the ocean. We fell in love with this lot and now you will too. This brand new cottage was just finished and is now listed for the first time for late summer 2006. You are invited to one of the most beautiful natural sites in the world. Boating, hiking, white-water rafting, antiquing, dining, something for everyone of every age. Located 15 miles from the entrance to Acadia National Park and scenic Bar Harbor, wedged between two state parks, Lamoine Beach and Marlboro Beach. This area really is the gateway to Maine. There are many live theatre and musical productions throughout summer and fall very close by.

Listen to the birds sing and walk down an unpaved road to restore your senses. Come as a couple or host a family reunion, this open floor plan is welcoming to all. Across Frenchman's Bay from Bar Harbor you can enjoy seclusion or jump in the fray.

National Park - Acadia: Visit the Acadia National Park website, linked at the bottom of this page, to see about hikes, beach, beautiful and special spots inside Mount Desert Islands most precious asset! See the peregrine falcons nest, hike and rock climb, take a guided tour - just beautiful. Acadia also features a car tour that circles the park so that even the not so physically fit can enjoy the natural beauty.

The description and photos of the house are completely accurate. We were 5 adults and were extremely comfortable. The house had many staples in it (laundry products, soap, kitchen staples like salt, spices, oils, vinegar, etc.). There was also a good supply of board games, books and magazines. Linens, cookware, utensils and dishes were all good quality. The owner was available to us, accommodating and friendly.
We would recommend this property to others.

We thoroughly enjoyed Acadia; the guide books that we found in the house were extremely helpful. We would recommend a trip to Southwest Harbor for just walking around, snacks or a meal. We had a very nice meal at the Fiddler's Green. Southwest Harbor is smaller and less crowded than Bar Harbor.
