This rental was exactly what was pictured and described on the web site and it was perfectly clean and comfortable. The landlords were wonderful people who obviously enjoy welcoming travelers to the cape. They made our visit extra special by providing maps of the area, suggesting where to eat and beach and made sure we had everything we could possibly need.
The rental has cable TV, which we used on the one rainy afternoon and to watch a little football. Wireless Internet was available so we used our laptop to check the weather, e-mail our friends about our great time and found details on different activities we wanted to do while in Cape Cod.
The kitchen was completely stocked with a coffee pot, toaster, plates, cups, silverware, pots & pans and everything else from a pasta strainer to a corkscrew. This was great since we were able to prepare meals there, after a quick stop to the nearby grocery store, which saved us money and allowed us to enjoy some peaceful time alone.
The rental is a short walk down the quiet residential side street to the beach (beaches are free if you walk or ride your bike). One of the Cape’s main routes, Rt. 28, is less then a mile from the rental making getting around very easy when we wanted to visit another town or sight see.
There was plenty of hot water for showers and the bedroom had an air conditioning unit for perfect sleeping climate. The mattress was not too firm or soft but a happy medium. We did not use the fold out couch and we brought our own sheets, blankets and pillows.
We visited Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory, Cape Cod Beer Brewery and Truro Vineyards. We took a late afternoon whale watch out of Provincetown on the Dolphin Fleet and saw many whales and enjoyed watching the sunset on our way back in. We rode our bikes on the Cape Cod Rail Trail, which is paved and smooth and brought our kayaks to different spots we found with an online search. We went shopping on the main streets of Chatham and Hyannis where there are many gift shops and eateries. One of the closest beaches to the rental (Parkers River Beach) was a little seaweedy but clean and not over crowded. If you want to drive to a beach, we recommend Lighthouse Beach in Chatham. This beach is very big and has soft clean sand.
This rental comes highly recommended for the value, size, cleanliness, convenience, amenities, comfort and the landlord’s hospitality.
Happy Vacationing,
Kelly & Dave
