In the very heart of London! Located in a quiet cul-de-sac 1 mins walk from Trafalgar Square - ideal for visitors who want easy access to the best of London. Major tourist sites such as Big Ben & Parliament, No 10 Downing Street, Buckingham Palace and Covent Garden are all within 5 mins walk. You can see the millennium wheel from the window. As for culture, we are in the middle of the theatre district with musicals, West End, Royal Opera House, National Gallery and the Royal Academy of Arts right on your door step. Excellent for shopping, restaurants and night life - 10 mins from Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Sq, Soho, Regent Street and China Town. The flat is kept in a modern, contemporary style with a hint of tradition with a couple of chandeliers to give it the English charm. We welcome singles, couples, families and groups for both short and long stays.

Located in a traditional building supposedly built for Queen Victoria’s officers around the corner from the water gate she used for embarking from the Thames River, this flat is truly right in centre of the most important sights of London. Although minutes away from Trafalgar Square, the flat is in a small street with virtually no traffic, allowing guests to relax and unwind after experiencing the buzz of London. Two underground stations (Charring Cross and Embankment) nearby give very easy access to The British Museum, St Paul's Cathedral and The Tower of London etc. Excellent transport links to all major airports. 10 mins walk from Waterloo and Eurostar trains.

Trafalgar Square: Laid out in 1829, Trafalgar Square has recently become car free, creating an attractive open space, with seats and cafes, so it can be used for concerts and entertainment. Looming 172 foot high above the Square is Nelson’s Column, with the famous naval commander standing on its top. Below it, huge bronze lions stand guard and the famous fountains light up the Square at night. To the east of the Square, the fine old building is the church of St Martin-in-the-Fields, where regular lunchtime concerts and evening recitals of classical music are held. On the north side, the National Gallery holds one of the greatest collections of paintings in the world – and it’s free. Around the corner, the National Portrait Gallery is another of London’s great free attractions. Charing Cross: which leads off the Square, is the centre of London – literally – it’s the point where all distance to England’s capital are measured to.

So Good I Really Should Keep it to Myself!

I stayed in Apartment 11 for 2 nights in mid October 2009. I used to live and work in London up until 12 years ago and I was looking for somewhere central and safe to stay on my own. This apartment is perfect. It is within 5 mins walk of Charing Cross (mainline station and undergound). It is in a quiet, safe street that is just metres away from the bustle of The Strand that leads to Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden etc.

The apartment itself was well equipped, as described and it looked like its photos! I would say that it fits 3 comfortably and it would be do able but a squeeze with 4 or 5. It is on the top floor of the building which would be a challenge if you are less mobile etc or if you had a lots of bulky luggage. Otherwise it is an excellent retreat ~ one from which you can see the London Eye from the living room window and, as I found out on the second evening, you can hear Big Ben chime if the window is ajar and the wind is blowing in the right direction!

The owner provided excellent customer service from my first enquiry until I returned home. For example, the central heating was not working when I arrived early afternoon but it was fixed by the next morning.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment ~ even if I want it as my pied a terre!

If you're looking for somewhere to stay in London, we recommend this flat which we return to time and again because it has everything we need in an ideal location, just near tube & bus. Whether just the two of us, or with family and friends (particularly good value), we find the spaces and facilities - kitchen, washing machine and TV - very good. The view of the London Eye at night is also a nice bonus. Each time we are welcomed back efficiently and always notice and appreciate the care taken with the essential cleaning and maintenance of the flat. It always seems fresh and well-cared for. With only a short walk to Trafalgar Square, museums, galleries, restaurants, nearby food shopping, and much more, it makes a working stay in central London hassle-free and a cultural delight, while also making it economically possible, especially for families. We're already looking forward to our next trip and only wish we were obliged to go to London more frequently! Jason
