Austin holiday house " Irons Austin Soco 78704"

I stayed at the Irons Austin this past weekend and had a wonderful experience. The home is incredibly decorated and in the perfect location. Rusty was a great host and fulfilled all my requests without any problems. She is very easy to work with, and the house is gorgeous with plenty of room - we had a party of 5, but you could easily manage with more guests. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone needing a great place to stay in the perfect Austin location.

A group of 4 coworkers took a leap of faith for SXSW and decided to rent a house the night before we arrived (instead of staying 30 min north). Rusty had a last minute cancellation and was more than accommodating with such short notice.

As other reviewers stated, the house was stocked with goodies (including some bbq sandwiches she dropped off one night which were perfect after a night of "engaging in the festivities" around Austin), and we really felt like we were staying in someone's home - not just your typical vacation home.

Rusty gave us tons of advice about where to eat and drink and she even dropped us off, so we didn't have to ride the bus.

All in all, we had a great weekend, made some lasting friendships and really got to see true Austin hospitality. Can't wait to go back!!

My husband and I were in Austin for a Texas game in September 2010 and were told about this place from friends who stayed here for most of the summer. Let me tell you, this place is AMAZING! There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was just me and my husband, so we stayed upstairs in the master bedroom, the room was a great size and the bed was VERY comfortable. The master bathroom is huge, with dual sinks/vanity. The shower is amazing, two shower heads, with HOT water and plenty of pressure. The master closet is very large, and had a dresser in it. Right outside the master bedroom is a living area with TV and a desk, and the view from the windows was so pretty. If I had actually been there to do work, I would have found myself staring out the windows the whole time! Downstairs was the living room, very comfortable sofa and chairs, with a great size TV. The full kitchen is open to the living room (we didn’t do any cooking or eating while there, but the kitchen was a great size, not cramped at all). We didn’t use the downstairs bedroom, but did go in there; it is a good-sized room, not cramped at all. The downstairs bathroom is right next to the bedroom. The décor in this property was gorgeous, had a very “Austin” feel to it. The property is very open, and would very comfortably handle a group of adults, or family. The property is very clean, I am always concerned when going to hotels, but I felt as comfortable here as I do in my own home. The location of this property is a great jumping off spot for basically anything you are looking to do in Austin, it is very close to South Congress, which is near downtown/campus/easy access to 35 & Mopac. The property owner, Rusty, is fabulous to work with. She is always quick to respond, and so very helpful with everything. I would recommend this property to any of my friends and family and would absolutely stay here time and time again. Thank you Rusty for such an amazing property that made our trip PERFECT!
