'A River Runs Through It' - A spectacular 6 bedroom property that sleeps up to 14 guests located in the foothills of the Chattahoochee National Forest. A stay at this 4,000 square foot luxury lodge will be the most unique and amazing experience of your life! The home is situated on 7 1/2 acres in a private setting and is built over a scenic mountain stream that spans 35 feet wide (think of Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling water House on a smaller scale). Constructed in 1960, this property holds a lot of historic value, from the 100 year old water wheel which greets you as you pull up the driveway to the walls and ceilings built from old buildings torn down in the 1900's (black walnut, cherry, ash and cedar). This mountain getaway has been completely remodeled and features all New upscale furnishings!

Notes: Our home is very suitable for the elderly or handicapped. There is one small step down as you walk in the front door. All the living spaces, along with a king and queen bedroom and 2 full baths, are on the main level. There are 2 family rooms, a screened porch, a covered deck with hot tub where the creek runs beneath you. There's so much to explore outside with the creek following the property. It's great for kids and adults!

My family enjoyed this spacious cabin. The setting was beautiful, the home was immaculately cleaned, and there was a great deal to explore in the creek and woods. The bedding was great, and the kitchen was very conducive to a family gathering. We loved all the leather couches and separate living areas, as well as the pool table and hot bub!

Perfect for Families!!

Our family was fortunate to have the opportunity to stay at this treasured home!!! The cabin accomodated the group very well. The furnishings are Gorgeous!!!! The wood paneling throughout the home is comprised of rare woods. Just beautiful! The bedrooms are Very comfortable!! The kitchen is well appointed with all the modern conveniences of home. We were a large group from FL, CA & GA but there were 2 patios, 2 family rooms and a ton of state of the art TV's to please all!!! We never felt crowded. The property is Enchanting!! From the stone pathways, gazebo swing & wooden bridge, to the rushing creek with smooth rocks, crayfish & trout, this was a great place for all ages. My boys, 4 & 6, played in the water the entire time! We hiked up the creek for an adventure and found it peaceful and serene! I highly recomend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in the mountains!!!! We can't wait to go back!
