The Villarena Relais is an ancient house with a particular charm. Once there, the visitor is taken by its magical atmosphere in the heart of one of the most beautiful and famous places on earth: Nerano, in the municipality of Massa Lubrense right at the end of the Sorrento peninsula and the Amalfi coast. The hospitable Villarena Residence with its wonderful stone arcades, Moorish patio and genuine old-style orchards, has a 19th century atmosphere. It was built in the 17th century around a pre-existing late medieval construction when the surrounding area was mostly used for the cultivation of lemons. It later became an exclusive residence for various noble families and, for a few decades, a nunnery. Memories of past centuries can be seen in the high vaulted ceilings, the original colours, the decorative stone arches, and the view of the bay from each room, which delights the soul and body. Whoever stays at the Villarena Residence which, in the best tradition of Italia.
