'MT Mansfield Farm' is Stowe's nicest large rental property located within 'Stowe Mountain Resort' 400 yards from the ski chairs. This newer 8 bedroom /+2 sleeping loft home sleeps 22(16 beds), has 3 full baths, large kitchen w/2 cooking areas(seating10), large dining room(seating 11) and MT. views in 3 directions. It doubles as a spa with 6 person outdoor hottub, 8 person indoor cedar sauna and a smaIl gym. Each of the bedrooms has a 'unique name/decorated theme' including Morgan Horse Suite(Queen + a loft w/a full) , Sugerbush(Queen)Chrissie's Dream(Queen), Mad River Suite( Queen+ a loft w/a full), Green Mountain Suite w/6 beds, Coyote Den(Queen) etc... There are spectacular horses including Clydesdales and a olympic level black stalllion! Located on the free winter trolley route to Stowe Village. Latest technology smoke/carbonmonoxide detectors. For the care,feeding and exercising of the horses the owner stays in private/seperate section of the home using a private/entrance.

Ideally located our home is 'at Stowe Mountain Resort 'on 'The Mountain Road' leading directly to both Stowe Village and Mount Mansfield. It is 400 yards from the closest ski chair (Toll Road lift), less than 1 mile from the main lifts/lodges and directly across from the MT. Mansfield Cross Country Ski Center with miles of scenic trails connecting to The Von Trapp Family Lodge . We are also one mile from Topnotch Spa, Tennis and Touring Center. You are walking distance to a General Store, the Matterhorn restaurant/night club and Stowes famous waterfalls Bingham Falls. We are directly on the free Stowe Trolley Route which you can catch out front in winter. Take a walk/ride a bike on the Stowe Recreation Path(1 mile away) or go sledding 1/4 mile up the street at The Inn at MT. Mansfield. We also border Stowes main river.

The homes floor plan - The west wing of the home has four uniquely decorated bedrooms named Chrissie's Dream(Queen bed), Sugerbush( Queen) and Morgan Horse Suite(1 Queen +1 Full in attached loft) and Mad River Suite(1 Queen+1 Full in attached loft). The first level has the Green Mountain Suite which has 3 sets of bunk beds(6 beds), Coyote Den (Queen), Camelot(pullout full) and Sir Lancelots Lair(Queen + a pulllout coach). There is a gas grill on the outside deck and a barn used to store hay, horse drawn carriages and shelter for the horses. Guests are provided the option of feeding the horses daily hay and grain in the winter. The owner has a separate separate/private entrance and stays there to feed, water, exercise and care for the horses. We welcome guests with pets that are properly trained. We welcome guests who treat the property and neighbors(noise) well.

We recently had a corporate outing at this house; all things considered, we couldn't have chosen a better spot. Each room (there were 8 in total) had its own theme / decor and was outfitted accordingly. In addition to the awesome interior of the house, the surrounding landscape, views of the mountains, and beautiful horses (you have to see these guys to believe it) were simply amazing.

I wouldn't hesitate for a second to come back, whether with co-workers, friends, or families. A+ all the way around!

Gorgeous home; spacious yet cozy with stunning mountain views. Perfect for families with young children or teenagers. Ideally located; walk to cross-country ski area, snow shoe from the front door, and 400 yards from ski lift.

The Mount Mansfield Mansion ...

Excellent size property for a crowd .. Huge space, plenty of bathrooms, etc. Nicely laid out space, clean and well maintained. Just a short distance from the ski hill (maybe 1/4 mile), close to restaurants, etc. The owner was very accommodating to my crowd of 16 people. Hot tub was great, right on the deck .. And we really had fun feeding the horses in the AM (Not required by the owner, but a few of our crew asked and he accommodated them). Kitchen was perfect for our crowd of 16 people, large dining table, breakfast bar, etc. Living room was great, plenty of space, wood stove, Satellite TV, etc.

The House more than met our needs, we're going back this year AGAIN.

Mountain Getaway with CLASS

We stayed at the house twice. Once in winter, and the other time in the fall. We LOVED it both times, and had a great time. It's a unique property in that there is SO much to do in the immediate area, yet the house is perfectly located off the beaten path. It's off the road, on the hill, and in the woods, surrounded by thick forests. It is a perfect place to feel like you are away from civilization, but you're so close to everything!. The house is very warm and cozy (it's NOT Small) and open in the large living room overlooking the horses in their fenced in pasture. It's fun to be able to see the horses, go out and pet them, and then put on snowshoes and head out into the woods right from the house. It's also wonderful to have a first class dinner at a top Stowe restaurant, and then in a matter of no time easily be back to the house in the woods, sitting in front of the fire and relaxing. You can fit so many people comfortably in the place as it has 8 bedrooms, and a large kitchen. It's the perfect place for large groups of people such as the girls and/or guys group getaway, as well as just a few couples. I highly recommend this house and we'll definitely be back.
