The bay at Centre Street offers dinner and sightseeing cruises along with a cruise to Atlantic City. A block away is Centennial Park featuring art and craft sales, flea markets and Wednesday night concerts. Bring your beach chair or blanket and enjoy the music! Also a block away are the Surflight Theatre featuring live theatre and music and afternoon children's theatre and the LBI Historic Museum. Fantasy Island Amusement Park is a short 8 blocks away with Silver Sun Mall, Bay Village Shops and Schooners Wharf Shops within 10 blocks from the house. Right on Centre Street you'll fine gourmet dining at The Gables and New York's award winning gourmet chocolate/coffee bar, 'chocolate bar' just a block from the house. Family Oriented: This is a wonderful home for family gatherings. Two first floor bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms, offer accessibility to the grandparents or the parents with new babies. The third floor is a perfect retreat for children and teenagers while the connecting bedrooms on the second floor offer convenience to parents with toddlers or infants. Once at the house you can walk to everything which eliminates the need to load the children into and out of car seats every time you want to go out. Murphy's Market, which carries everything from diaper wipes to Tequila with a worm in the bottle is located just around the corner along with Uncle Will's Pancake House, the Atlantic Book Store, LBI Museum, children's craft making store, Show Place interactive Ice Cream Parlour, and Surflight Theatre. Also on Centre Street are the Sea Shell, Marlin and Buckalews Restaurant/Taverns. Whether a family group or a group of adults, this property is in walking distance to all attractions.

The House Was Great!

Our week vacation on LBI was terrific. The location of the house was perfect. Only a block and a half away from the beach, easily walkable. We had 21 family members sleep and eat without feeling cramped or crowded. When we arrived the owners were still cleaning from the previous tenants. There was a problem with garbage and recycling. Not enough cans to dispose of our garbage due to the garbage left behind from the week prior. There were only air conditioning units in the bedroom windows. I assumed when the description stated air conditioning, it meant there would be units throughout the entire house. The owners did have to replace one of the faulty units mid-week, which was appreciated. All in all I would recommend this property.

Great Family Reunion

Our family had a wonderful time at this LBI beach house. It is in a fabulous location. We parked our cars on the first day and didn't use them until we left. Everything you need is within walking distance. The house was wonderful and well maintained. The kitchen was equipped with everyhing we needed, the porch was great for meals and just sitting out and the living spaces are plenty large for big groups. A bathroom in most bedrooms was a real luxury for a beach house. Everyone had a great time. We would highly recommend this house for large groups.

Great Family Reunion House

My family recently rented this house for a family reunion and it was perfect. The location was great and the house was neat and clean. It is really close to the beach and great shopping. The kitchen and dining areas were even large enough for us to prepare and hold a family dinner in (even with 20 people). We'll definitely be back.

Sit back and relax on the veranda

My fondest memory of our spring fling was enjoying a leisurely lunch on the veranda of this delightful home. Not a stuffy old house, but rather a friendly, kick your shoes off and chill out place where everyone has plenty of personal space. Well-equipped, nicely maintained, very clean with that fresh seashore feeling. Close to grocery market, pharmacy, and the Chocolate Bar that makes the very best iced Latte. I would highly recommend this property for family and friends who want to enjoy a very easy, relaxed week. I currently am planning for week's stay in 2009.

Great House, Great Vacation..definitely returning!

What a wonderful house! My family rented the house for a week. We had 6 children under the age of 5 & 10 adults in our group. We were very satisfied with the house. It was spotless, which is really important when there are babies crawling on the floors. The beach was beautiful & all the family attrations were within walking distance. My sisters & I love to cook, so the large kitchen (w/lots of pots & pans) & the 2 grills were a big plus. We can't wait to go back next year!
