Peaceful retreat in the beautiful countryside of Oaxaca. Spend the day in the bustling city or outlying villages and return to the cool, calming respite of 'El Estudio' each evening. Enjoy views of the Oaxaca valley from the spacious canyon-side veranda or relax on the colonial style patio. The property includes the main house with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, fully equipped kitchen and laundry room with washer and dryer. The casita with a large comfortable bedroom and private bath. Now a spacious lower patio with pool and cabaña.

Notes: After six months of construction the pool is a stunning addition to the property. It is shared with my two neighbors who also designed and built it. The door on the lower level leads right to the patios and pool. Property manager is Florencio Villa Pablo. He is available to answer any of your questions about El Estudio, San Pablo Etla or Oaxaca. He lives a mere two minute walk from El Estudio. He is also San Pablo's IT guy. He keeps every ones computers and internet running. We can also arrange cooking classes at El Estudio or have authentic Oaxacan food prepared for you there or off site. Concha our housekeeper is also available daily.

Yes it is clean, well equipped and everything works. No high or low season or holiday rates. Florencio the manager speaks English and Spanish. He also keeps the internet running. You won't be disappointed!! This is our home and yours in Oaxaca.

We welcome children. However the house is built on a hillside and there are stairs inside and outside the house. The house is also somewhat ADA friendly. Please call about this.

I spent a wonderful two weeks in this lovely hillside home. It is beautifully furnished with a complete kitchen, lots of interesting Oaxacan artwork as the decor, spacious and bright. The pool is fantastic! The neighbors are warm and friendly. The ruins and surrounding villages, each with their own distinctive craft and special market days, are well worth a visit. Local ladies prepared dinner for us which was delicious and I even learned how to make two of the seven moles. Plenty of things to do and see but also a place for R & R. Would love to vacation here again.

Our stay at this lovely home was wonderful. It is comfortably furnished with all amenities and many excellent examples of Oaxacan handicrafts. The friendly neighbors, pool with terrific vista, and the nightly sunset gathering were all pluses.

It's a great location for exploring the ruins and visiting craft villages as well as Oaxaca city.
