Your home away from home. Weekly furnished short-term rental. This sunny apartment is on the second floor and located in Jamaica Plain which is 3 miles from downtown Boston. It has 2 bedrooms. One w/queen size bed, the other twin beds, sitting room with single roll-away. Will sleep 5. Fully equipped kitchen—dishwasher, toaster oven, coffee maker, microwave. Washer, dryer available. Large living room has cable television and DVD. Local phone service is available. Computer hook-up. One block to downtown Jamaica Plain where you will find a variety of restaurants and shops, bus service to hospital areas, museums, universities, Back Bay and downtown Boston or a 10 minute walk to the Orange Line subway system to Back Bay, theatre district and downtown Boston. You’ll enjoy your stay. Walking distance to beautiful Jamaica Pond, Arnold Arboretum. On Street Parking. 4 night minimum.

**GREAT LOCATION, GREAT PRICE**

I stayed here in April 2009 with my sister in law (running the marathon) and two teenage nephews. It was perfect for the 4 of us. The "sitting room" has a bed int it so sister in law got her own room, the boys got the bedroom with two beds and I got the room with a queen bed. The owner was very helpful as well. Taxicab driver had a hard time finding the place so I recommend that you bring directions with you to save time getting there. The house is only a block from restaurants and a great little place called the Purple Cactus which has amazing wraps including breakfast wraps. There's a CVS which was a lifesaver for forgotten items. I would highly recommend staying here as the price is the best you will find for such a great place to stay.

Fantastic Family Rental!

We just returned from an amazing spring break trip to Boston and had the pleasure of staying at Elaine's home. This apartment is only one block to a vibrant main street with loads of carry-out options. A mere 10-minute walk takes you to the Orange line for a quick trip into the city. It was wonderful to stay in such a pleasant, historic neighborhood and get to enjoy all it has to offer while being so close in to Boston.
Enjoy the convenience of a washer/dryer as well as lots of room for a family. The kitchen is well supplied so cooking is always an option. Day trips to Lexington, Concord, Cape Cod, Portsmouth, NH and Kittery, ME were easy to pull off as well.
Thanks Elaine for a wonderful place to use as our home away from home!

Really a home away from home

A really great apartment with everything we needed with our family with 3 teenage boys. Lots of space, shops and restaurants nearby. 10 minute walk to the 'T' station. Lovely neigbourhood.
The landlady was lovely and very helpful. We arrived very late due to weatherconditions. The landlady stayed up all the time for us and helped our cabdriver on the phone to find the apartment. And when we finally arrived, she had some gingerbread prepared for us. So nice.

My parents and I had a wonderful time in this apartment. It was set close to all the sites we wished to see and our Landlady couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. I would recommend this (and will) to everyone I know.

It was a wonderful vacation home, with large spacious bedrooms to fit my entire family. There is a children's park across the street which my four year old grandson loved. The location was close to stores and several very good places to eat. We enjoyed the home feel with a lovely living room and eat in kitchen. I would well recommend this to any one wanting to visit Boston and still having the welcome feel of being at home.
