PEI Sunsets and Sea Lights is a new oceanfront beach house less than 100 feet from the water’s edge. Custom designed and built to take advantage of the picturesque scenery. This is the place to enjoy your well earned vacation. The house has been awarded a 4 star rating by Canada Select. The only thing you will need to decide is whether you would prefer to walk on the beach or to admire the sights from a hammock on the large second story deck. On the Northumberland Strait, warm water awaits you - perfect for sandcastle building. At low tide, the water near the shore is shallow; making it great for children to swim. Bring your own kayak, canoe or kit surfing equipment and launch from the beach at the front of the property. Lights from the Confederation Bridge, the lighthouse, the channel marker lights and the lights from our neighbors in New Brunswick all compete for attention with the unbelievable romantic sunsets.....

If you are interested in visiting the popular sights of the Island or playing some golf, everything is within easy reach - Summerside 20 minutes, Victoria-by-the-sea 30 minutes, Cavendish 35 minutes & Charlottetown 50 minutes. But you don't have to go anywhere to enjoy the Island. The beach house has plenty to offer.   • $1200 - $2700 per week
  • We've indicated a base price for double occupancy. Additional costs apply as follows:
    + $100 per week for each additional child, under 19 years of age
    + $200 per week for each additional adult
  • G.S.T. (5%) and P.S.T. (10%) are applicable as we are licensed and certified by P.E.I. Tourism.

    Reservations: We require a deposit of $500. to confirm the reservation. Deposit is fully refundable if received before the end of February the year of your planned holiday. Reservation dates can be changed at anytime depending upon availability.Payment methods accepted: Cheque or Money Order in Canadian Funds or equivalent U.S. amount.

  • The ground floor bathroom is decorated to ensure relaxation. The large soaker tub has a big window above it. It is the perfect place to light the candles and listen to the ocean. You should feel the 'zen'. A separate shower is also in the main bathroom. The bathroom on the second floor reminds you of your surrounding with its nautical theme. Both bathrooms include a hair dryer as well as shampoo and shower gel. We also have an outdoor shower to remove any sand or sea salt you picked up at the beach.

  • The queen size bedroom on the ground floor is your master bedroom. It is decorated in a relaxed and romantic style. Stained glass doors open the large closet. You'll enjoy the views from the two large windows and may be tempted to stay in bed. Not to mention the comfort of the orthopedic mattress. The twin bedroom on the ground floor is great for children. It has been painted with children in mind. A mermaid, Anne of Green Gables, on one wall and a pirate on the other have been hand painted. It is the perfect room to let young imaginations go wild. When you go upstairs, you'll find the queen size bedroom is decorated in a comfortable nautical style. The large window provides a nice breeze and a view of the Confederation Bridge. All bedrooms have ceiling fans.

This unique beach house has been professionally decorated in keeping with the style of a vacation by the sea. To captivate the views nature created, the living room and fully equipped kitchen, surrounded by large windows, are located on the second floor. While in the main room, you are surrounded by windows on all sides. The ocean, the lights from SeaCow Head Lighthouse and Confederation Bridge surround you. A large deck with propane BBQ and outdoor dining area are just a step away. A bathroom with shower, as well as a queen size bedroom is also on this floor. The main floor contains; the laundry room, a full bathroom with separate shower and extra large tub, a queen size bedroom and another bedroom with 2 twin beds. A two level deck is also available for you to enjoy on the ground level.

The location of the beach house is perfect no matter what you plan on doing. The beach, at the front of the property, is accessible by stairs. The beach is always different. At times, it looks tranquil like a lake, other times the crashing sounds of the waves are yours to enjoy. Changes of tides occur every 12 hours. At low tide, you can walk forever before you reach swimming depths.

If you are interested in visiting the popular sights of the Island or playing some golf, everything is within easy reach (Chelton Beach Provincial Park 5 minutes, Summerside 20 minutes, Cavendish 35 minutes & Charlottetown 50 minutes). Many of the Canada Games activities are held within a 20 minute drive. If Country Music is more your beat. This year the Gentle Island presents The 2009 Cavendish Beach Music Festival (30 minutes away). 'Country's' biggest stars will play in PEI - 20 acts in 3 days. Big name attractions, Tim McGraw, Reba MacEntire, Aaron Lines are but a few.

Golf: The International Couples Golf Festival is being held July 9-13, 2009.

Sunny week, great cottage - terrific vacation

My husband and I recently enjoyed a week at this wonderful cottage. The decor was great and very fitting for the location. We found everything we could use in the kitchen and really enjoyed the mosquito curtains on the upper deck. There is a great view overlooking the water with the Confederation Bridge off in the distance. It was very easy to drive and explore all regions of the island and grocery shopping was just 20 minutes away in Summerside. Check out Victoria by the Sea. We had a delightful lunch at Mrs. Profitt's Tea House there. The fresh seafood we bought and prepared was a treat. There was plenty of info at the cottage about places to go and things to do. Getting down to the beach was easy using the stair access. A relaxing and enjoyable vacation and one I would highly recommend.

A Wonderful Week at a Beautiful Home

This is an immaculate, beautifully decorated two-story home right on the water. The beach is only 100 yards away down a short set of stairs, and is very safe for children to explore. On the other side are potato fields stretching to the horizon, and the neighboring houses are well separated. The owners had thoughtfully left some gifts and toys for our children which were much appreciated! The home has a large deck on the second floor with a barbecue and is a perfect spot to enjoy a seafood dinner and watch the sunset each night.

Wonderful family getaway!

We had a lovely time at your seaside house. Everything was just as you said and more! The sunsets from the top deck were spectacular and the mosquito netting did the trick on those nights when you just wanted to sit out and enjoy the evening without getting bitten.On a clear night we could see the confederation bridge. It was very peaceful and relaxing and exciting and exhilerating on the nights when the weather was stormy and windy. Quite the view!
The beach house was not far from all the conveniences and it's location made it easy to go to other parts of the island for the day.
All the amenities were there and once we figured out the recycling system we were fine. The rooms were all tastfully decorated and comfortable.
Our little four year old keeps asking when we can go back to "our house in PEI".
Thank you for sharing your home with us! We will be back!

We miss PEI...

This is a wonderful property and a wonderful family vacation. It is the most beautiful cottage in the area, the decorating inside is gorgeous. It is full of personal touches, and feels like home. Everything we needed was there, from a washer and dryer to beach towels and toys. Games, movies and books for entertainment, a fully stocked kitchen with all the little gizmo's that one may need. It was extremely clean and bright, the neighbors were friendly and at the same time we were isolated and could enjoy being alone as a family. The beach is red sand and full of discoveries for the kids, much exploring and digging to do! The location is very close to all things and easy to get to and from. We loved Cavendish water/fun park and Avonlea Village, great fun! Cavendish beach is also top notch! The show 'Anne' in Charlotte town was terrific too. Our children still talk about this vacation and all the fun we had! PEI, the cottage and all there was to do exceeded our expectations! Thank you for this amazing holiday...
