The friendly, easy-going island of St. John remains one of the most pristine and uncrowded in the Caribbean. Most of the land and waters are managed by the National Park Service. Rebecca's Fancy is located on the less traveled East End of the island, after the National Park's Hurricane Hole. There is much history here. At one time, the East End was a self sufficient multiracial community that evolved from slavery to freedom. A relaxing 10 minute drive to Coral Bay and you may enjoy dining, live music and boutique shopping. National Park activities and North Shore beaches are nearby. Horseback riding, miniature golf, tennis and boating add to the festivities.

Additional information about rental rates

  • 50% of total rental required to confirm your reservation. Balance due 60 days prior to arrival.
  • Deposit must be received within 10 days of reservation or reservation will be canceled. In the event of cancellation 90 days before arrival date,the deposit will be refunded less 10% service charge. Cancellation less than 90 days before arrival date the deposit is forfeited. If Rebecca's Fancy is rented for the canceled dates, than all deposit money may be returned, less 10% service charge. Upon arrival, a $500. refundable security deposit is required. The security deposit will be returned upon departure and the cottage being in the same condition as your arrival.

We were looking for a quiet corner of the world and we found it. The owners (Jay and Athena) were excellent hosts and were able to provide us with detailed info about what to do on the island. We spent several mornings on long walks on the quiet roads east of the cottage or snorkeling in the bay in front of the cottage. Although we checked out several of the better known beaches on the island, in the end we found the quiet of Hansen Bay to be our favorite (which also has good snorkeling). The restuarants in Coral Bay were good but not great. We enjoyed buying food at the local grocery stores and eating on our deck while taking in the view. We're already looking foward to returning.
