Management was helpful in renting snorkeling equipment, arranging boat trips, etc. - you can be picked up right from your dock! The grocery store across the street was handy. Location, Location, Location!:
There are a few luxury condo and hotel properties in Cozumel. Problem is they're miles from town. Unless you want to eat in the same mediocre tourist trap restaurant every day - they figure you probably will, so why bother with good food and service? - you have to pay $10.00 - $20.00 or more for a taxi each way to take you to a decent place for dining, shopping or nightlife.
Until now. Welcome to Casa Del Mar. If you want 5-star oceanfront luxury with a short walk to virtually every restaurant, shop and nightspot, you have found it: Upscale restaurant on-site (Prima featuring Northern Italian, USDA Prime steaks, just-caught seafood, etc.) with room service & beach/poolside servicei, steps to more restaurants, shopping, grocery superstore, nightlife (Carlos 'n Charlie's, Senior Frogs & Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville are just 2 blocks away).
Save the money you would have spent on taxis and rental cars for more important things!
