This is a family owned, 2800 square foot house was just recently renovated with five bedrooms and three full baths. It has two large living rooms with their own TVs. New Kitchen with cherry cabinets, eat-in island and bar and granite counter tops. There are 2 full sized refrigerator as well as a small one for wine. Large dining room with 12 foot ceiling, 30 by 15 deck that overlook the lake as well as two lower decks with steps going right into the lake. Also for your enjoyment are some arcade games including Pacman, Capcom Bowling, Cruis'n The World, NFL Blitz Gold, NBA Showtime and Centipede as well as a slot machine. Also as part of your rental is a soft serve ice cream machine. (can provide soft serve mix at an additional cost). Lakefront Home on Newton Lake, Minutes from Elk Mountain.

There are approximately thirty golf courses within a thirty mile radius. Fishing at Newton Lake is also very good. The Lake is also not very crowded because the lake is private and not open to the public. Also for your enjoyment, the house has two (2) kayaks, a canoe, paddle boat, sunfish sail boat and plenty of floating rafts. The fall is great to take in the beautiful scenery with the changing of leaves. Fall is especially good for fishing on the lake.

Get away from it all and enjoy the ski season in this winter wonderland. Sitting enjoy our spacious house overlooking Newton Lake while being only a short 8 mile drive to Elk Mountain Ski Resort, Montage Mountain (30 miles away), Camelback Ski Area (45 minutes away), or Greek Peak (50 miles away). Thirty (30) minutes to Pocono Raceway this convenient location will ensure you spend your day on the slopes and not driving in your car! Skiers and snowboarders will find it an ideal area for skiing or snow-tubing. Also, if you prefer, you can enjoy ice fishing on the lake.

This house was outstanding for our family get away. The kids (and adults) loved the game room with all the video games. The ice cream machine was also a big hit. The lake is so clean and beautiful. During the week we were the only ones on the lake. I would highly recommend this house as it is big enough for a large family or a number of families. I promise you, you will not be disappointed with this house nor the beautiful lake. Thanks again for opening up your house to us.

Great Location and very family oriented

We just returned from our family vacation in Feb 2009! The owner's were great to work with and responded quickly from E-mails prior to vacation to phone calls while on vacation. It housed our group comfortably everyone had a bed and the beds were comfortable. Our 9 yr. old loved the video games. The 7 yr. old & 4 yr. old loved the children's extra play bins with toys already provided. We traveled with 18 other family members and we were able to group up to have family meals and spend lots of family time in a comfortable setting. We definitely would rent again in the future. The house is a great location less than15 minutes to Elk and a 20 minute drive to downtown Scranton. It was a very quite neighborhood didn't even need the skiing to feel like on vacation the vacation home would of been good enough. Overall, we had a good experience, the owner is very easy to work with and responsive to help correct any concerns you may have. It felt like your own vacation home away from home that when ever we purchased an additional item for the house either a game or puzzle but we left those items behind for the next family to enjoy. We enjoyed the vacation and in turn we didn't mind leaving items behind for the next family to use. I would love to rent this house in the summer as the house is right on a beautiful lake. We already have our plans for this summers vacation but hope to return in the summer of 2010 to use this house in the summer. The owners treated us basically like a family member using another family's home and added lots of memories for our three children and all the other's we traveled with.

Thank you for allowing us the use of your house. We had a great time. We really enjoyed playing the video games and the spacious kitchen and table to play card and board games. The amount of beds and bedrooms was also great and accommodated our group well. The skiing conditions were great as well. Thanks!

Had a great time at your house. The lake is absoultly beautiful. We caught over 12 large and small mouth bass and about 7 pickerel. During the week it was like we had the entire lake to our selves because there was no one else on it. The arcade games were also a huge hit with the kids. Thanks for the great week and hope to return again next summer.

Had a great Easter vacation with extended family. Plenty of room and close to skiing. The kids all loved the gameroom.
