18th Montmartre holiday apartment

We were so pleased to find a property that was within our limited budget but still so convenient and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed:
* a very functional kitchen
* laundry
* a good bathroom
* internet access
* English news TV channels (though the entertainment channels were not in English -- though ideally you won't need entertainment channels while you're staying in Paris!)
* comfortable sleeping (note: bed is small relative to North American standards -- think a slightly shorter double)
* nearby grocery shopping (important: mostly smaller specialty stores, with a couple of larger "general" stores -- important to check opening hours if you intend to shop daily!)
* nearby metro access

Although we didn't eat in the restaurants because we cooked each night, there are tons of little cafes and bistros to choose from, and the atmosphere in the neighbourhood is fun and interesting. Minutes from anything else by metro, the apartment was an excellent base.

Isabelle was a wonderful hostess, and everything was as she described on the site. She went out of her way to help us get information, and responded promptly to our emails when we had questions.

We would absolutely recommend this property to friends and family if they were staying for any length of time in Paris!

This was our first trip to Paris and we enjoyed our three week stay there very much. Isabelle and her mother offered us many useful suggestions about getting around, and we really appreciated their input. The nearby Internet Cafe, which was one of their referrals, proved to be very helpful in exchanging monies, offering internet access, and providing helpful information. As others have noted, the location of the apartment is its prime advantage. It provides easy access to the Metro, restaurants, boulangeries, markets, etc. Ground level access is a huge plus. The apartment has double-paned windows which really helps in minimizing any outside noise. We both felt safe there as access to the apartment is quite secure. No one should hesitate renting this apartment.

2 girlfriends and myself spent a week here in august 2009, we are all 20 years old and we were looking for a safe spot that wouldn't be too overcrowded and this is exactly what we got. amazing amazing amazing location, totally safe and surrounded by beauty, everything you needed was a 2 minute walk away or less. beautiful areas of montmartre such as la butte, sacre coeur only a few minutes walk away. The living space was awesome as well, good space, internet, tv, phone. Kitchen was great, prepare some food for the day or even a supper. Although it was hot outside, the apartment stayed cool and breezy. The owner of the residence was very kind and welcoming, quick to reply and gave great suggestions. The next time I am in Paris i will for sure stay no other place but here and I recommend this place to anyone visiting Paris, any age. very safe, beautiful and convenient. LOVED IT!!
