The 16th century estate Poderi Val Verde with its various farmhouse accommodations is situated only 2 km from the famous wine town Castellina in Chianti. Other famous towns and cities such as Greve, Radda, Gaiole, as well as, San Gimignano, Lucca, Pistoia, Arezzo are only a one hour away. If you drive a bit more, you will find Cortona, Perugia or Pisa; even daytrips by train or car to Rome, Milano or Vencie are possible. In this small family style hamlet our sophisticated guests will find undisturbed and unspoiled nature, silence, sun, good food (cookery courses) Chianti wine, sports (trekking etc.), as well as culture. There is a large swimming pool (5,5x11 m) with splash pool-entrance and extended leisure areas. The children's playground and sports facilities is set like a jewel in a unusually beautiful landscape of well-cared gardens with hundreds of flower pots, potted lemon and orange trees, wild meadows and macchia slopes.

Arrival : We are located only 45 minutes from the Florence airport, and roughly 1 hour from the Pisa airport. Bologna airport is approximately 5 hrs away. Rome and Milan airport are approx. 3 to 4 hrs away. You can arrive by train to Florence or Siena at the main station. If the train station is closed, it is 15 minutes to Castellina Scalo, or Poggibonsi is 30 minutes away.

Trekking - Biking - cookery Courses : Since we are situated in the middle of the nature resort 'Oasis del Chianti', trekking and mountain biking possibilities are more than perfect. Various marked trails from 1 to 6 hours are accessible directly from your accommodation. We also offer guided tours with wine tasting and a lunch brea. The expenses for lunch or wine tasting are extra. Biking in the Chianti is demanding, but rewarding. We will gladly help you with maps and advise as well as booking bikes . We offer half day cookery classes of local dishes priced at € 55/pers, which also incl. dinner or lunch as well as beverages. We also offer “Little cook” classes for children six years of age and older.

Extras: We will arrange winetastings, taxi service, as well as excursion services with cars or small buses (if requested). Services are subject to a minor charge.
