Very private and one of the most luxurious and stately homes on Costa Rica's southern Pacific coast. Excellent views of the Osa Peninsula, Cano Island and numerous beaches to the south. Spacious true infinity view swimming pool with large entertainment areas and covered pool rancho. Wrap around main level terrace of 1400 Sq ft with year round temperatures between 75 and 80 degrees. Comfortable ocean breezes during the day and cool mountain air at night keep you comfortable at all times. Los Portales Costa Rica is located approximately 3-1/2 hours by car from San Jose, just 8 kilometers south of Playa Dominical. You will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to reach the villa once you are in Dominical. A 4 wheel drive vehicle also will give you more freedom to explore out of the way sites and area attractions and to travel to the more exotic regions of the country. 4 wheel drive vehicles generally rent from $375 to $700 per week with mileage, taxes and the mandatory insurance included. Most major car rental companies are represented in San Jose and offer airport or hotel pickup. Vehicles can be rented in Quepos or Dominical also. A 25 minute commuter flight on Sansa or Nature Air to Quepos brings you to within 1 hour of Los Portales.

This home (or palace) was beautiful. It has large bedrooms, a large kitchen with upscale appliances, a huge varanda with unbelievable views.
The views of the ocean, the surrounding vegetation and the wildlife can only be truly appreciated when experienced.
It is a great place to relax or entertain with all the facilities to do both. The infinity pool is first class in quality, size and enjoyment.

There are not many locations to upgrade to from this home.
We will be staying here many more times.
