This private, spacious riverbank estate is ideal for vacationers who value natural landscapes and desire a convenient launch pad to the unlimited outdoor adventures that makes Jackson Hole famous. Located in Jackson Hole 12 miles S. of the city center. Forests of native trees encompass this home which towers over the banks of the Snake River. The hand-built Wyoming sandstone patio and working stone grill complement the back of the house, where a 50 meter path leads down to the privte river bank. The backyard is spacious with hiking along the river, fishing, and private area above and on the River- The Stone Patio is perfect for Parties or Reunions while perched above the River. A complete supermarket and gas station is a mile North of the house. The entrance to a popular horse, fishing, and hunting ranch is directly across from the property as well as 100´s of miles of National Forest great for Horses, hot springs, off roading, hunting and biking

I was a guest of this house last fall and was blown away by Jackson Hole in the fall. Myself and 3 other couple stayed here. The colors of the trees were incredible along the entire river area. Every morning I would walk down to the Snake River and get my line wet. I even reeled in few cuttys and rainbow trout. I felt like i could walk along the property for an hour before i reached the next house. It was my own private fishing paradise. Also I hired a guide and floated other sections of the Snake as well as a couple trips to the Grey´s and Hoback River. All were within a half hour of the property. The house was immaculate and I would recommend this place especially for those who like to be near Jackson but without all the madness the center of a tourist driven town. I hope to go back in the future to hunt in the fall as its located in the heart of the elk migration.

I was surprised at how reasonable the price was after seeing the hotel rates in town, not to mention the kitchen was perfect for meals for the 7 of us.

Best retreat ever

I stayed at this comfortable retreat with friends last fall. I now have put this on my annual calendar for my extended family retreat location. It is right on top of one of the finest trout fishing rivers in the US. It also is at the gateway to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone Park. The lodge has two large rooms, each with a nice fireplace. It was very relaxing to sit on the deck and just watch the river as the steaks roasted on the grill. A great retreat.
Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review. Everytime I get time a chance to go to the retreat I get caught sitting in one of the zero gravity chairs watching the river for hours on end. We have a few families that have started using the retreat as their traditional summer getaway. It makes us happy that we can offer a cost effective retreat for the whole family to enjoy. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Snake River Retreat- Peaceful and Relaxing

Very quickly, Snake River Retreat became "home" for our reunion of old friends. We were entirely comfortable in this well kept, clean home with spacious bedrooms,huge living room and large, well supplied kitchen where we cooked together. We enjoyed meals on the patio overlooking the river and were warmed by indoor and outdoor fireplaces. It was conveniently located for our day trips to enjoy all of the beauty of the area. Thank you for helping to make our wonderful time together so perfect in everyway.
