We are an airline family that makes frequent visits to the islands, therefore stay in many different houses, on all the different islands. This Kailua house we will most certainly return too. Hoohrey, I don't have to search anymore for the perfect house! Very finely decorated. Floorplan was spacious, granite counters, tile floors. Beautiful woodwork and trim, brand new carpet in the two bedrooms with the third bedroom in tile. Furniture and linens new, not worn and dated. Reading lights over the beds, big closets with lots of hangers. Washer/Dryer. Can accomadate a large group or a more intimate group. Hawaiian music playing on our arrival, the owner was most hospitable. Our stay was for 6 days. We traveled with another family with two small children, 3 and 6. We have three kids 15,13 and 9 years old. The room arrangements were perfect. The two couples took the two master bedrooms. The 15 year old took the third bedroom that also had a trundle if it would of been needed. The 4 kids all took the 'bonus' room which had four twin beds, their own desk, closet and privacy curtain in each mini room that was divided by a wall per two twin beds. So the 3 and 6 year old were separated by a solid partition from my 13 and 9 year old. And each kid was separated again by a black privacy curtain. It was a very cool set-up and having a 13 year old daughter she had all the privacy needed from the little ones! The kids loved the game room which had a huge flat screen T.V. and all the games and movies, XBox etc. The adults were able to sit outside and enjoy the fabulous surroundings, listen to the creek that was running due to the rains up in the hills. The owner lives totally separated from the downstairs house. We have our own entrance, long driveway and ample parking for our two rental cars. Boogie boards, umbrella, buckets, towels are available. Fresh papayas, tomatoes, herbs from the garden. The kitchen had plenty of serving bowls, sharp knives, pots/pans, spices for entertaining, which we also did as we had local friends come over to the house and they were delighted at the spaciousness, privacy, the gardens, that they were going to let their friends who visit, in on our find! I am including as many details as I can, as I know how important it is to find the right house for your dream vacation. I hope this review will help others in fine-tuning their selections! Thank-you! Lisa and Corey
