A newly restored detached villa The house has been converted from a typical Portuguese cottage and has two bedroom with double beds and one single The shower room apart from the normal facilities has the luxury of a shower with room for two. The lounge has a settee to cater for an additional two guests. The owner lives close at hand and is always happy to help with information or entertainment. Also the annexe has 2 bedrooms and is detached. The Kitchen/Lounge has micro fridge cooker . All modern cons.Washing mashine outside. Electric/Water charges within reason. Rubish to be taken to local dusbins not far away. More than 4 people will be charged extra Collection and return to Faro airport can be arranged for a reasonable charge.

The Medieval town of Silves with its historic castle is only a few minutes drive away. The town has been carefully modernised and is full of character and good bars and restaurants. The area is the heart of the Algarvian fruit growing industry and borders on the highest mountains in the region, Monchique, there are countless fine walks to try in the area with grading from novice to expert.Lots of cycling. Sunny climate, Water features strongly in the area, with several natural and man-made lakes, some with sport facilities. Monchique is famous for its spas, long believed to have great powers of healing. For the more active seekers of entertainment, the coastal area is the finest beach area that you will wish to find. Ranging from beaches several miles in length to small hard to reach coves. Bars, restaurants and nightclubs to suit all tastes are within easy reach and on the coast, taxis are plentiful.With 300 sunny days a year,water sports .

We rented Serendipity which had a combined living/dining/kitchen area with the bedroom on a mezzanine floor for a week in November. The bedroom has limited headroom and steepish stairs so not ideal for the infirm or very tall. The lounge area was spacious and attractively furnished, as was the bathroom. The dining and kitchen area was more basic but perfectly adequate for simple meals for two, perhaps with a small child too.

Plenty of space outside for sitting or lounging which was perfectly possible even in mid November.

We were looking for accommodation away from the holiday centres and beach, and this was ideal - quiet and easily accessible (by car). A good centre for seeing both the mountains and the coast. (and the motor race circuit if that's your thing).

Simply superb value for a winter break.

we arrived at silves about tea time greeted by pat the owner.the cottage was exactly as i had seen on the internet and contained everything we needed. It was a lovely spot but a car is definatly needed.We went to some lovely beaches which were only a 10 minute drive.Visit silves castle and eat in the restaurant at the foot of the castleand on a sunday they have live music.
