Rose Cottage is a charming 18th-century cottage filled with period features. The house is comprehensively equipped, with many personal touches. Enjoy the wood-burning fireplace in the living room. Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms with comfortable mattresses and a modern bathroom. Outside is a well-maintained garden. The cottage is a 2-minute stroll from the Horse and Groom and walking to Lower Oddington, past the area’s 25 listed buildings, brings you to the Fox Inn, both highly-rated pubs. The cottage is a great base for walkers (maps/guides provided). Many tourist attractions are also nearby. Stow-on-the-Wold, 5 minutes by car, has a variety of shops and restaurants. The popular towns of Bourton-on-the-Water, Burford and Cheltenham are within a short drive. Rose Cottage offers a peaceful retreat and quintessential Cotswold experience. The Cotswolds is one of the UK’s premier conservation areas and the country’s largest designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Small villages with honey-coloured stone cottages nestle amongst fields and forests. Quaint churches, large manor houses, bustling market towns and lively pubs keep visitors busy. Tourist attractions abound in the tightly packed area, from outdoor sports to museums and cultural events. Upper Oddington is a well-preserved village close in the centre of the northern Cotswolds. Together with Lower Oddington, it comprises a large conservation area, with 16th century alleyways, a 12th century Norman Church and 25 listed buildings in this small area. Each village has its own outstanding pub. Many walking trails lead through the village and into the countryside.
